    Thanks Brandon! We will be staying in 1104 when we are on Freedom in July. I expect it will be identical. Wanted to check out the newer rooms. Agree on your comments on the desk and the balcony. We don’t drink coffee so hopefully they can move the Lavazza elsewhere. Great review.

      Any room on a cruise ship is a good room! They have similar cabins in Navigator that I actually liked better as the room and balconies were bigger.

      Just take the coffee maker and put it on the floor of the closet... you say "hopefully they can remove it"....MAKE them remove it!

    I was 13 days on Adventure of the seas cabin # 1106. It is very different, specially the balcony, it doesn't have the glass panel on top. It had a small table next to the couch. It looks like the one you are showing is booked for more than 2 people, that's why there's no table, since it needs the room to open the couch.

      Funny, there was only one friend of mine staying in the room. I also think different ships and classes of ships numbers are probably very different too. Adventure is a tiny ship compared to Freedom. But WOW on 13 nights at sea!! Very jealous!

    Love the idea of a weekend cruise.

      Me too!! You don’t need a full 7 night cruise to be able to relax and have a mini vacation!

    Hey currently in 1152. The coffee machine is not on the counter, but in a cupboard below. Our rooms balcony has the window washer obstructed view. First time in a junior suit so nothing to compare it too. I love the space.

    This was great Brandon. Was looking at one of these rooms and the balcony is a deal breaker for me. I want to feel outside and that just felt loud and covered. Thank you!

      Def agree! The balcony would have given me a headache with the echo. Good call!

      @@TheWeekendCruiser also recently saw another one of your videos where you make the distinction of choosing Deck 9 over Deck 10 because you hear footsteps or furniture moving on the pool deck above. I’ve found all this very helpful. Thanks for all your insights.

    Thanks for the video. Staying in this room on Friday - and you helped reset my expectations :) I appreciate it. And I said hello to you very briefly in the dining room a few weeks ago. I didn't want to interrupt your dinner, but do appreciate your content :)

      I remember that!!! Thank you for taking the time to say hello! Love how you phrased it as “reset expectations” lol. Yes, sometimes we need to definitely manage our thoughts on what we are getting! Sounds like you cruise often! Hope to see you again.

    Very different. The balcony is not for me since I use it a lot and would miss the sun, but that echo would drive me nuts. Could you please try to include on room tours if there are outlets by the bed. Lots of people have CPAP machines.
    Room updates are beautiful. Thanks for sharing

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  2 года назад

      The echo was absolutely the worst for me. I could not do it. Interestingly, there are no outlets by the beds and the ones you see on the desk/make-up station are the only ones. Folks with CPAP machines have to request an a bright orange extension cord be sent to their room and they can request distilled water as well.

    This filming was my cabin. I enjoyed it but would not book it again Soley because of the vanity area being micronized and not having the lighting around the mirror like other junior suites for make up.
    the coffee maker & everything that was delivered to the cabin went to that tiny space. For example ice, cookies, bottles of wine & paperwork.
    I offload the items into the wall of wood cabinets.
    The booking for this cabin is an upgrade from the other JS category. They are a J3.
    This was a free upgrade to me, the additional cost is about $100 for a weekend cruise.
    Happy Sailing Everyone 😎

    Thanks for the tour Brandon, we are in 1156 for a b2b the week after Thanksgiving (hope to meet you then). I feel this room will be perfect for us, yes the coffee maker will find a new home and the balcony is a bit “weird” I do have some mobility issues and hubby is a smoker :(. I think the convenience to the solarium, windjammer and smoking area will out weigh the negatives. Honestly a short elevator ride to diamond lounge for a cappuccino as well.

    • @TheWeekendCruiser

      That makes a lot of sense Teresa! Sounds like the advantages make up for the downsides of this room. I believe I will be there the 2nd weekend after Thanksgiving.

    Is this balcony obstructed can you feel the breeze from the ocean with all the metal bars and glass

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  2 года назад +2

      Clear view out with no obstruction and surprisingly the breeze does still come in. The echo and metal over hang are my big items.

    I love Junior Suites but this one bothers me. The room is dark because they sacrificed the mirrors that normally reflect the light in the room. And there is not enough counter/desk space because of those more contemporary style storage cabinets/closets. I don’t think they thought about the coffee maker when they designed the room and as a result they simply stuck one in the only place they could, effectively disabling the desk/vanity area from its normal purpose. That arrangement makes the standard balcony rooms on Quantum-class and newer Oasis-class ships look far more functional in comparison.

    What a bizarre cabin. Balcony reminds me of QM2 sheltered

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  2 года назад

      That's a good word for it!! Definity not like the other ones. I have not been on the QM2 but did get the chance to tour the QE2 at her final resting place in Dubai.

  • @silviaeaston
    @silviaeaston 2 года назад

    NOT for me either.... I bring only a carry on, all this storage space would be not used... the balcony, GAG, I feel like I would be a caged animal...the coffee "space" is horrible... not having space to put anything is a deal breaker for me (and having the picture of the coffee maker X 2...!) NOPE....
