You obviously needed that intervention and Billy so graciously agreed to help with that . Now you should return that favour and help him with his addiction for antiques and the shops . lol . I love the relationship you all have ; you , Billy and Gwen , Ryan , Sadie , Edd and Anna etc. Friends always eager to help each other and make a family of friends .

I'm so happy to have found someone with a case of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) worse than mine. After decades in photography, and a degree in broadcasting, I'm content with just a Canon R6, a couple of lenses, a microphone set up, and a simple flash. Viewer's can't tell what we are using, and would be shocked at the cost of a serious GAS attack.
Billy you and Phil make a great pair, you with your addiction to electrical tools and things , and Phil to his camera`s and filming aquipment

I too think your room would look so lovely, if you painted all the walls the same colour as you have painted your fireplace wall, but I hear what you are saying, and at the end of the day, it is your choice, as it is your place! I feel the mirror frame needs to be painted another colour, maybe gold? As it does not stand out enough against your new colour now. Your lovely dog does not look too happy, as I suppose the heat gets to him, with his double coat? Phil, you are a lovely soul, and it is so good to see you with your mates, so you have others to share your life and thoughts with, so important I feel. xxx
Is Lightning okay? He seems quite subdued. I hope he was able to fully recover from the attack of the "invaders". It's always a good feeling to clear out excess stuff.

The "junk" just seems to multiply. For every piece I get out of the house it seems like 3 more show up.

I absolutely love the three color combo in the morning salon. The white, pale yellow and medium yellow are perfect. If it were my room I would have some very soft floral / botanical upholstery on a few pieces of nice furniture. Also a lovely rug to pull it all together. More 🪴 plants too.

The farmer in Shropshire where I lived made a massive one in the 90’s don’t know if you saw it on TV back then, he used it in one of the field and shot off cars with petrol canisters strapped to it for a massive boom 💥 also shot off pianos and other things that I can’t mention lol 😅

I've always liked that pale yellow in the middle breaking up the "darker" yellow on the walls, framed by the white surrounds. As for collecting things, I'm guilty of that, and yes, it's good to clear things out. Unfortunately, There was a huge clearing-out a couple of years ago while I was recovering from heart surgery, but it was done without checking what was going out, and I've lost some things that I needed, like some textbooks that would have been useful in trying to get a new job :( At least you had the opportunity to go through things yourself :)

I’m in the process of getting rid of a lot of clothes that I no longer need or want now that I’m retired. You could say I’m addicted to clothes and shoes 😂😂😂Definitely feels good getting rid of stuff. Love the new haircut and thanks for explaining why the bright yellow is staying and why you went with the softer yellow for the fireplace. Hope Lighting is ok. Maybe he’s too hot to do much? Just a suggestion. You could donate it to struggling chateau vloggers, who could really use some of this equipment, to help their videos.

The fireplace yellow looks very pretty. I have 3 girls and have a terrible time getting rid of everything. My girls are very artistic and if my youngest sees anything thrown away she gets hurt. I have to be creative in what we keep and how we get rid of stuff

I agree about getting rid of unnecessary items however think more than twice withbitems of a sentimental value. When I became on my own and was at a low point I got rid of items I now wished I had retained.
