- We discovered Preston Park, was a short walking distance from our hotel, (Near Yarm, Stockton on Tees.) In addition to our intended woodland and riverside walk we were pleasantly surprised to see Preston Park included Museum, Victorian Street, next to walled garden, and Butterfly World where we spent most time. Therefore our walk through the Quarry Woodland Nature Reserve to reach River Tees walk was later in the day. Hopefully you will find our additional events as entertaining as we did.
Free parking within the ground of Preston Park with cafe and general amenities.

beautiful scenery, thank you for showing us around
Thank you for watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed scenery.
What a lovely day out..the different species of butterfly were amazing..great to get a glimpse of Roseberry topping
Hi Steven. Glad you mentioned the glimpse of Roseberry Topping because it was climbed and filmed the next day. Both days enjoyable, but more relaxing at the butterfly World. Recommend a visit if happen to be in the area. Thanks for support.😊
@@CountrysideWalkingLooking forward to your Roseberry topping video
Those Butterflies were absolutely beautiful. You certainly picked a great day for a walk too Shanita. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Chris. Nice to see you comments. Thanks. Yes it was an unusual event we weren't expecting to see something so different from our usual activities, so couldn't resist filming. Thanks for watching. 🙂
Nice one thanks for sharing
Hi there. Good to read your comments. Thanks.
The River Tees is one of my favourite northern rivers, though I only know the section in the North Pennines, which is a complete joy. Love the butterfly chrysalis too. It looked like a toffee shop display. 🙂
Hi Chis. You are right. It was like a toffee shop display. I wondered if the various butterflies would interest you. In view of the lateness in the day, we didn't really get to see much of the River Tees and the tracks only so far on that stretch. Thanks for your support and watching.👍😊
Excellent video
Hi Dave. Pleased to read you enjoyed. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Loved Butterfly World and the reptile house Shanita. This is not an area I'm familiar with again, although funnily enough I was exploring a different part of the River Tees a month ago. Nice walk through the woodland nature reserve. Hope you both had a nice stay near Yarm 👍
Hi Patrick. Glad you liked this as a bit different from usual walking film, but I think it makes a change to take the risk of another activity in the middle. I also like filming in other areas too. Thanks for watching and support.👍🙂
Looks like an interesting place to visit, the Tees is a very windy river, did you go on the boat trip? I spotted a nice view of Roseberry Topping from Captain Cook's Monument.
Hi Steve. I didn't know there was a boat trip on River Tees. Having said that there was a kind of landing jetty but only saw that ship included film. Glad you mentioned Roseberry Topping as climbed and filmed the next day so that will be up next, but The Butterfly World was more a relaxing day.
lovely video shanita,thanks for sharing.
Hi Ken. Great to see your comments. Hoping keeping well and filming your walks.
