You keep saying 'this is weird' but as someone who has also been vegan since a young age - this was all so on brand to the vegan experience sometimes! the sweetness of store bought vegan cheese, the mustard to fix it, attempting things again, trying to save it hahaha. I really enjoyed this episode and am thankful you have been uploading so much!!
Yes! Also not wanting to waste food but then doctoring a rich/indulgence food and it still sucking. Like I don’t want to waste my too much oil tummy ache on these weird sweet nachos but I also feel guilty giving up and tossing them
I watch your videos religiously but never comment. Obsessed with your content, so chill and homey if that makes sense. You have a comforting presence even through a screen. ✨
You should try sarah's vegan kitchen deli slices recipe 👀 it's soooo much better than tofurky and you can achieve the like, chunky meat texture by cutting it into bigger chunks
I love the tofurkey ham, especially using it with breakfast like in a taco with tofu scramble. I usually always sear it a bit in a pan and it makes it yummier in my opinion especially if you sautee some veggies with it like onions 😊
I tried purple carrot for two weeks (it was half off for that time frame) and tried to GOAT sandwich which was basically a thanksgiving sandy and OMG it was good. Highly do not recommend purple carrot due to the insane packing waste, BUT they have the recipes online. Anyway, they did coleslaw mixed with cranberry sauce, gravy made from oil flour garlic and water (it was gooood), mayo made with fried sage, mashed sweet potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts on a roll. IT WAS DELICIOUS. When I was making it, I was like this is f weird af but it was a great combo.
Feeling special because this was the video idea I commented on your post. Probably a lot of people commented the same thing, but let me live my moment 🤠 btw love your videos!! And thank u for blessing us with so much of them recently🩷🩷
I use a really good recipe for vegan seitan turkey, and it's very accessible if you'd like to try it! You can cut it into thick slices and everything! I'm also not a fan of tofurkey, so this one has been really great for me
I love this! Thank you for experimenting on Fall food concepts so we don’t have to! I agree nothing beats the real thing on Thanksgiving! 🤪 you rock! 🪨🤘🏻 Happy holidays 🤗
The Gardein brand makes really good Turkey Cutlets with gravy. If you ever want something really easy try the Gardein regular Bee'f crumbles stirred into mac and cheese, pasta or anything really. It's comfort in a bowl. They are really good just following the microwave directions on the bag. If you keep a bag in the freezer you can just add 1 cup to whatever you are trying to make a more complete meal. You can put it on baked potato or add it to burrito etc. :).
i work at a smoothie place and our November smoothie special is a “snickerdoodle smoothie” i think you’d like!! it’s white beans (we freeze ours for better smoothie texture), banana, a lot of cinnamon, tahini, vanilla extract, almond milk, and we add vanilla protein powder. i think adding a date and maybe almond butter and hemp seeds would be yummy too
Hey Emily first time commenter long time subscriber. the leftover sandwich… I’ll tell you where you went wrong. My personal opinion is it has to be on a dinner roll, the bread you chose was very wrong. I understand your thought process but it was wrong I’m sorry. And when it comes to filling, my go to is mashed potatoes, tofurkey, cornbread stuffing with the vegan apple sausage , little bit of cranberry and gravy mix together in a bowl and thrown on the roll. This can be played around with but Mac and cheese doesn’t belong on that roll she’s a side she stands alone! 💕
Agreed. I would go with Gardein Turkey cutlets, mashed potatoes and stuffing on a really soft, buttered dinner roll. It's delicious that way. The Gardein Turkey cutlets cutlets are really good. :)
so many new videos yay! also I find it a bit funny that where I live in northern europe, we have lots of fake meat slices that are THICK. we have those thin ones too but there's a lot thick ones made from seitan
The way my Al dente ass would have cried over the reheated pasta 😂😂 the tofurkey thing with the gravy sounds like a good idea tho but I already love tofurkey as it is or just pan fried with a bit of oil so the edges get crispy like they did the second time around
So for my partner and I to get the protein around this holiday I like to make tofu cutlets or chunks and use sage to season (along with normal stuff garlic, onion etc) and it goes so well with the rest of the meal
I love thanksgiving food as it is too. No need to try and make the leftovers be something else when they’re already good as is 🤝🏼 I think there’s a nice metaphor for life in there
i oven cherry tomatoes till they pop. Then mix em in Mac&Cheese before baking. Top with bread crumbs. Gives a nice tangy tart thats hard to get with vegan M&C
dude!!! i tried the vegan kraft mac and cheese (the regular classic cheese flavor) and it was so sweet for me too it grossed me out! i didnt add butter or any other vegan cheese before i tasted it and it was soooo weird. i salted it enough to the point where it wasnt sweet anymore but i was wondering if it was going to be sweet for u too! why is it so hard to find vegan mac and cheese that doesnt taste slightly off le sigh
I’m trying the gardein turk’y roast this year - it comes with stuffing & cranberries I think. Hope it’s good (if you read this and you’ve tried it and didn’t like it please don’t tell me)
Honestly yeah skip the tofurkey slices, the field roast celebration roast sliced up or their mushroom balsamic slices would be bomb in an autumnal sammie
please tell me you were singing "mac and cheese, mac and cheese, check out this baby mac and cheese" to the dragon tales theme song because that's all i could hear lol
If I end up using tofurky slices for Thanksgiving the days after I like to cut it up, heat it in a pan and put a sauce in it. Surprisingly, Italian salad dressing is kind of good on it, but I don't remember what Italian dressings are vegan nowadays
I have a great video making a Thanksgiving “Bobbi” sandwich with Tofurkey. It was so good but very different from yours. Is Mac and cheese at Thanksgiving really a thing? I’ve heard it is but I’ve never seen it at any TG gathering in all my 50-something years. 🤔
For the soup, I think it might've been even better if you cooked down the veg, potatoes etc first with the rice and then added the sausage and apple toward the end to preserve their flavor and integrity.
I would like to add the Kraft Mac & disgusting is very sweet!! It should also go straight to hell with the diaya new box Mac & chemicals!!😂 fyi I’ve been vegan for a couple decades now. It’s exciting to get mainstream dishes, but who the heck is tasting them because they all taste like crap! That’s all’s😂🤷♀️
Another fun food video. Your food always looks delicious. Hope u don't mind me giving a shout out to messy vegan momma. She is trying to help people become plant based. We are losing influencers on u tube.

Hi angel of heaven 🕊️🥰Do you know Jesus is a prophet of God.God has no son
Girl... I can't tell you how much your editing, the music and sounds, speak to my soul. Thank you so much for your videos lmao
Do you know Jesus is a prophet of God.God has no son
Your videos give me the same vibe of the 90s/early 2000s when I was a kid. It’s comforting 🥰
Your light-heartedness and humor is so needed right now. Thank you for all the vids! 🙌❤
You should try sarah's vegan kitchen deli slices recipe 👀 it's soooo much better than tofurky and you can achieve the like, chunky meat texture by cutting it into bigger chunks
I would never think to put green beans and Mac and cheese in a sandwich but I’m here for it
I’m loving the content recently! There is nobody like you, I mean that.

I love the tofurkey ham, especially using it with breakfast like in a taco with tofu scramble. I usually always sear it a bit in a pan and it makes it yummier in my opinion especially if you sautee some veggies with it like onions 😊
3 uploads in one week wow it's been a great week. it's a Thanksgiving miracle ❤

the editing on the burning olive oil section was soooo funny to me thank you for all the videooos
I love this chill, pessimistic vibe, it's so funny and comforting😭🫶
Gardien has turk'y cutlets!! Theyre breaded and delicious
Agreed. Everything they make is good.
We are being blessed like thankful grateful blessed with multiple videos
Comfort youtuber! Always watch your videos when I'm eating
this vid was like stuffing soup for the soul, even (and especially) with the unfortunate events… perfect vibes 🫶🏻🫶🏻💗💗
Emily once again with another absolute banger of a video. What else to expect from the best? You should be ashamed of yourself for thinking otherwise
the cross section of that sandwich was so cursed 😭
Do you know Jesus is a prophet of God.God has no son

I just love your content. It's so cozy and a little bit chaotic at the same time lol

Now I have “Mac n cheeeese” to the tune of dragon tales stuck in my head for life.
I’m not vegan but my family always adds mustard to macaroni and cheese, adds a little tang to cut the richness.
Your Thanksgiving videos are always some of my favorite :)
I use a really good recipe for vegan seitan turkey, and it's very accessible if you'd like to try it! You can cut it into thick slices and everything! I'm also not a fan of tofurkey, so this one has been really great for me
Always love the food content, but think it could be fun learn other ways you're sustainable too!
I really liked her last upload where she shared lots of thrifted items for the new apartment if you didn't catch that one (:
I love this! Thank you for experimenting on Fall food concepts so we don’t have to! I agree nothing beats the real thing on Thanksgiving! 🤪 you rock! 🪨🤘🏻 Happy holidays 🤗
1:34 orgain chocolate vegan protein is sooooo good. i don’t care what anyone’s opinion is it tastes like brownie batter to me 🤤
thank you for taking us on this journey with you 😄
It’s not thanksgiving without an Emily video

there might be honey in it?? i can’t remember but you could always sub maple syrup. also a heavy pinch of salt!!
Hey Emily first time commenter long time subscriber. the leftover sandwich… I’ll tell you where you went wrong. “Mac and cheese, Mac and cheese…we’re gonna put some Mac and cheese on these” to the tune of Dragon Tales made me happy ❤ 10:23
Wait why was this low key your funniest video
Stuffing soup is a GENIUS idea!
The way my Al dente ass would have cried over the reheated pasta 😂😂 the tofurkey thing with the gravy sounds like a good idea tho but I already love tofurkey as it is or just pan fried with a bit of oil so the edges get crispy like they did the second time around
Perfect video to watch while I'm making musubi!
I love orgain protein. They also have a pumpkin spice flavor for this time of year.
You can save your cut potatoes in a jar of water as well, dry off and they'll be super good for breakfast hash/tofu scramble.
So for my partner and I to get the protein around this holiday I like to make tofu cutlets or chunks and use sage to season (along with normal stuff garlic, onion etc) and it goes so well with the rest of the meal
I love thanksgiving food as it is too. No need to try and make the leftovers be something else when they’re already good as is 🤝🏼 I think there’s a nice metaphor for life in there
emilyyy you gotta try the goodles white cheddar vegan mac n cheese it’s sooo good
Favorite RUclipsr ❤
Floppy yogurt, why is that so accurate? 🥲
21:54 In the show Marceline doesn't need to drink blood, she consumes the color red. So fries would just be a fun ketchup delivery system to her lol
Try vinegar and dish soap with a little water to clean the pot :)
Don’t think this would’ve singlehandedly saved the Thanksgiving sandwich but it would’ve been cool to dip it into the gravy like an au jus!
i love ur videos! :)
i oven cherry tomatoes till they pop. Then mix em in Mac&Cheese before baking. Top with bread crumbs. Gives a nice tangy tart thats hard to get with vegan M&C
Gardein has those turkey cutlets. But they’re breaded. Might’ve worked in the sammich
Oh you mentioned them later. Yeah girl you should have used the cutlets lol
Me with my Tofurky turkey slices in the fridge... lol
Love all the recent videos
dude!!! i tried the vegan kraft mac and cheese (the regular classic cheese flavor) and it was so sweet for me too it grossed me out! i didnt add butter or any other vegan cheese before i tasted it and it was soooo weird. i salted it enough to the point where it wasnt sweet anymore but i was wondering if it was going to be sweet for u too! why is it so hard to find vegan mac and cheese that doesnt taste slightly off le sigh
😥 I love tofurkey And almond milk
its okay so does my vegan bestie i still respect u both ❤️
I’m trying the gardein turk’y roast this year - it comes with stuffing & cranberries I think. Hope it’s good (if you read this and you’ve tried it and didn’t like it please don’t tell me)
lmao no i think the gardein one is good. not my #1 but its good. esp when u add olive oil & extra seasonings/herbs on the outside
@@emlyewng🙏yay!
I like the orgain protein powder. They’re good, except the fruity cereal, which was disappointing
Honestly yeah skip the tofurkey slices, the field roast celebration roast sliced up or their mushroom balsamic slices would be bomb in an autumnal sammie
Mandatory attendance for your annual thanksEwing video 🎉🎉
Honestly spread a thin layer of potatoes and gravy to the sandwich. It really helps riund ut out
The kraft vegan mac and cheese is oddly sweet by itself. Both kinds. It's kind of weird
the burnt oil dog edit LOL
marceline wasn’t a vampire when her dad ate her fries 😢
watching the ads so you can buy the fancy cheeses!!
looove your videos
come along and take my hand, let's all go to dragon landdddd
Always enjoyable 😉
please tell me you were singing "mac and cheese, mac and cheese, check out this baby mac and cheese" to the dragon tales theme song because that's all i could hear lol
yes she was!!
🐲
If I end up using tofurky slices for Thanksgiving the days after I like to cut it up, heat it in a pan and put a sauce in it. Surprisingly, Italian salad dressing is kind of good on it, but I don't remember what Italian dressings are vegan nowadays
That stuffing comments is so heretical 😂😂 it’s the most iconic food for me bc I eat everything else year-round, so it’s an absolute must for me
I have a great video making a Thanksgiving “Bobbi” sandwich with Tofurkey. It was so good but very different from yours. Is Mac and cheese at Thanksgiving really a thing? I’ve heard it is but I’ve never seen it at any TG gathering in all my 50-something years. 🤔

The second sandwich was my nightmare
Idk if this will help… but I usually add vegan cream cheese to my Mac n cheese!
The reason the mac and cheese tasted sweet is because Kraft for whatever reason decided to add dried pineapple to it. I didn't like it either.
Tofurky smoked ham is best.
why did she have fries??? ...good question🤔
Could the fry scene have taken place before Marceline became a vampire idk
TJ’s mozz is so good!! The cheddar can go straight to hell & come back as TJ’s feta! The feta was the best!! I miss it!!
That’s all’s😂🤷♀️
nooooo i forgot the feta is gone !! it was so good wtf… yes i wondered if it was just me but the mozz is way better than the cheddar
@ every time I Trader Joe’s I still look to see if it’s there!😫😂
The part where you burnt the oil, you looked like a sim 😭
☝🤓 Marceline's dad ate the fries before she was turned into a vampire
18:52 lol I love you
That puppy love pullover is SO CUTE omg they don’t make em like they used to fr 😔
Another fun food video. Your food always looks delicious. Hope u don't mind me giving a shout out to messy vegan momma. She is trying to help people become plant based. We are losing influencers on u tube.
omg
That mac and cheese is so gross. It has pineapple in it and that's all I can taste 😭
i dont think fake meat would be good
You look like you live in the PNW. It's very depressing.
Boring
zamn girl you have been up. load. ingk
