What we do have in the UK parliamentary process is a speaker in the house of commons that is respected by all parties. MP's have to tell the truth in the chamber and in committees. Failure to do this can lead the the person being suspended from their party. They will also have to verbally apologise to the house and explain what the truth is. There are any number of people who will 'out' the lies.

What we do have in the UK parliamentary process is a speaker in the house of commons that is respected by all parties. MP's have to tell the truth in the chamber and in committees. Failure to do this can lead the the person being suspended from their party. They will also have to verbally apologise to the house and explain what the truth is.
