Somewhat related - I'm seeing Pasha recasts on Aliexpress. I'm starting to think doll artists should require every buyer to sign a liquidated damages clause, so that if their doll ends up in the hands of a recast company, they agree to pay $X as damages.
Oh no! I hate that. I don't think that would be good for business though to do try to do that, I certainly wouldn't buy dolls anymore if that were the case, because if I sold a doll to someone I trusted and they turned around and did something with it, or they died and someone from their estate did something with it, I wouldn't want to hire a lawyer to try to deal with that.

The only other option is to make all of the world governments crack down on IP theft in China, and that hasn't happened yet...
