Patty, I know how expensive cable can be because we have cable. I would be fine with getting rid of cable but there are channels my husband likes to watch and though we’ve talked about getting rid of cable, he’s still unsure. I am a Prime member, so I can watch that and there are some decent free channels like Tubi, Freevee and Pluto tv. Most of the time, I watch the old shows on cable. They show a lot of these antennas on infomercials that will supposedly let you receive the cable channels without subscribing to cable. And I think the reason cable is so expensive is because most of the time, there is no competition so there’s no competitive pricing. We only have the option of two cable companies in my area. If we had a larger selection, the cable companies would have to compete for people’s business. Unfortunately, cable companies won’t let you choose your channels a la carte, you have to choose a specific package and most of time they will include channels that you don’t even watch or care about. They have 50 million spanish channels (an exaggeration, but you know what i mean) that I can’t understand and have no intention of watching. Sorry for rant.
