I have a query :
A has produced a document in the court to prove his point. B chalanged the document as false one. Here burden of proof lies on whom ? Here if the document is accepted then A will won the case. Thus who have to prove the authenticity of the document.... A, who is producing the document or B, who is chalanging it.
Definitely B cause he is challenging it on the ground of fraud and forgery! since section 102 explicitly states that the burden of proof would lie on that person who would fail if no one gives any evidence as to establishment of fact in issue in that particular suit or proceedings.

Section 102 is the basis of onus probandi madam and not section 101 as you have mentioned. Section 101 is states about facta probandi, initial burden of proof and onus probandi means evidencial burden of proof
