There's something about watching darts that I find both compelling and calmingly therapeutic at the same time. I think maybe it's the incredible focus of the players and you almost feel like you need to be as concentrated as they are. Whatever it is I love it.

@@markbellew4194 I'm a kiwi but my stepdad was from Manchester so I grew up playing football and darts. sadly I'm visually impaired now So darts really isn't happening. I still love watching it though it really brings back the memories.

Years ago at Manchester service station I could not find my bank card for love nor money when I was at the checkout. The guy behind me insisted to pay for all my stuff without any hesitation, that bloke was Nathan Aspinall. The most genuine down to earth bloke you could meet. Delighted he is doing so well as he deserves it all.

Yes Nath! Can't believe Humphries missed three at double 2 to go 5-1 up, what a turnaround from there for The Asp. Side note @Professional Darts Corporation, would love to see you extend these clips by 30 seconds and capture some of the celebration and aftermath, they finish almost immediately after the last dart.
Oh also, would love you to try and avoid any spoilers in the title, being in Australia, I can't really watch live.
I agree with everything this bloke said here, both the celebrations need to be shown, and also no spoilers in the title or thumbnail would be great.
Gwan Nathan,ASP aspinall, most improved sportsman of the year, and he's now my favourite player, he's such a good guy, he's a credit to darts 🎯.
He is one the new age of players, Humphries, Littler, Smith, no yelling or screaming when the score a 180, win a leg.
Price and Wright are the worst.

He had the skyline of Rotterdam on his jersey though, so it was a nice touch.
I would love to see Peter Wright get back on his feet again. Every week I hope that he just has that incredible underdog run to win but its just not working out at all for him. Such a shame. But he will always be one of my favorites.
Same, he has had some poor games like last night but also played really well some weeks and still lost. I hope things go his way a bit more in the remaining weeks.
He has a really odd throw these days , seems to twist from the waist as he lets go of the dart . That can't be good for accuracy at all

Price vs Cross was great character stuff. Price telling Cross he isn't hitting a 170, for price to then acknowledge Cross for taking out a 3 dart finish.. Great stuff.

Gezzie has the third highest cumulative three-dart average, and the third best checkout percentage of the players, and yet he's languishing at sixth on the table. It's a tough tough school, this Premier League! 😮
Why is the camerawork still so appalling??
It's not so much the camera operators' fault as the director's: the director has to make split-second decisions on which camera to go to for a particular shot, and if a 'big number' gets missed by the player, then the director has either to be hot at the maths, or opt for a 'whole board' camera shot. Also, there is the 'spotter', usually a mathematically able former player, eg. Keith Deller, who is there behind the scenes to work things out, lightning-quick, for the commentators, if need be. Mistakes, however, are inevitable, particularly with fast players like Humphries, Smith, Littler, etc.
@@terencemeikle534 bit of both really as the camera is often searching for the zone....but I sort of include the whole package when I say camerawork as its the combination of several cameras and the director.

I was there, were some huge fights. Guys were throwing tables and chairs on eachother. There also was a fight were someone almost got thrown off the upper stand

Me too man. They were really ruthless, I don't mind a bit of crowd opinion but, when it's clearly favourable like that it definitely plays its part. When the receiving end wins, it's a great testament to their character and self belief.

It's crazy how clueless Mark Webster and the other commentator is. Clearly, Aspinall and Humphries were complaining about the draft again, yet the commentators had no idea why Luke's average was under 90 at one stage. I wish you could watch without commentary at times.
