In The Sims 4 if a baby/toddler/child is taken away by the social worker due to neglect they will just disappear and will be deleted from the game. In the sims 4 when an infant is taken away there is no possible way to bring them back.
In The Sims 2 if a baby/toddler/child is taken away they still exist in the game. In fact if you play as a separate family, they can have the option to adopt a child that was taken away from another household. You also cant have sims adopt again after they’ve had a toddler taken away.

Can she have a relationship and breed with the baby her mom was carrying when she was taken away. Or you could double down and have the second baby taken away too. Would the game still recognize them as full blooded siblings and prevent their breeding?
I started a save file called "Whiny Brit Inspired" where I can go around to different families and have chaotic scenarios and tests and just keep moving on to the next family.

i remember in sims 2 i would make a family with one adult and a bunch of kids and then kill the parent so the kids could be adopted by other households, simply because i thought the game generated adoptable kids were always super ugly lmao
I have that running in my games. One of my babies got taken away & adopted by a former nanny. That nanny then invited me over to her house. Since I knew she had my kid, I went there, aged up the baby, adopted her into my household & took her back home. Lol
This specific scenario in which I knew the adoptive parent has only happened once so far.
I remember when I was playing in TS3, and my family had a toddler. I called a nanny once when they went to work, and after the parents came home, the nanny left still holding the baby. Once the nanny got to her house and went in, the baby disappeared from my household and I couldn't get the baby back. I was pissed LOL.

I always get stuck on the same old story. My sim goes to school, gets married, has a kid. Thats why I love your channel. Especially when I need some help creating drama. 🖤
Just to share 😅, Sim 2 also snatches orphans even if they are well taken care of in their current household. I had a kid who’s elder mom died before he reached teen (late in life baby) and his young adult sister was in University. But the family had a family friend living in the house when his mom died. Granted, I did this predicting mom wouldn’t make it through the kid’s childhood. The child was well taken care of by this unrelated adult sim still living in the household, but when I had another family decide to adopt, he was wisked away to them by the game. Since I didn’t want his relationship to his sister lost by a few days of aging (he was close to teen) while I played her through Uni, I just didn’t save and reversed the process. So even tho his needs were being met in his household by an adult sim. Since that adult wasn’t his dad, the game snatched him up even tho he wasn’t neglected and was doing well in school.

willing to bet they made toddlers more difficult to get taken away because theres glitches like not being able to bathe them and not being able to put them in the high chair

You can mark a child for adoption in mccc to go to a specific sim! You can also see if someone is pregnant and with what, in mccc under mc pregnancy

i got a toddler taken away recently on accident. after it was adopted by another sim, i moved him back in with his mother. in cas, the son and mom said they were actually nephew and aunt. they were not on each other's family tree though. I used mcc to cheat their relationship back to mother and son, but they still don't show on the family tree.

I think the Sims should've had an actual social worker show up with 2 police and the social worker takes the child and the police arrest the parents for abuse or neglect.

Mccommandcenter is basically a mod goldmine
Uze the mailbox to invite them over and press mc on them to add to your household if you want to adopt them.
Does...does that mean the child could romance their original biological parent because they're no longer related?
In case you added the toddler back to the original family, is there a way to add that toddler to the family tree again? I tried it with “Modify in CAS” but it just said that I can’t edit pre-existing sims :(

So...weirdly my MCCC doesn't display or look like yours. Nor do I have a 'settings' option anywhere. What version are you running? I'm going to have to go look at mine now LOL
Same I went to go look to turn on that setting and its like wait mine looks completely different
I have the latest version of MCC, Those options only come up like that when you use the computer :)
