Mission Accomplished: Last Lamb Moved And Corn Is In!

- Two big deals on our sheep farm occurred today, Spartacus, our last lamb born this year, was finally transferred with his mom to the barn with all the other lambs and the corn planting was finished in the nick of time. Both events had us worried for weeks now as Spartacus had struggled to get his legs under him, and the weather was making planting crops difficult.

Lynn I love your new haircut!!! The layers really look good on you!! Spartacus has come so far from that little weak and wobbly newborn a few weeks ago. Spartacus is such a big boy now. Glad Arnie has the corn mostly in the ground
Watching the journey of little Spartacus and his Mom, has been a joy. By a lot of measures, neither one should have survived. Him with accidental physical damage and her internal infection. But Lynn and Arnie pulled out all the stops to pull them through their crisis. Seeing both of them running up for the lamb's bottle, absolutely made my week. Even though her milk has dried up, mom associates Lynn feeding her lamb, with nursing him herself. I've never witnessed this before.

Arnie, what a relief it must be to get the corn in! And don’t worry about the poll. I love watching and listening all about the seeding and harvesting. Also big $ machinery never impressed me. I like it when farmers spend their money wisely and efficiently. New doesn’t always mean better!

So happy to see Arnie get the crops in!! I actually enjoy seeing the crop work also...it's vital after all!! That creep feed and grain that keeps all those sheep in such great condition doesn't just magically appear!! I'm sure it was a big relief to get it done. Spartacus and his mom are pure joy 😍😍

Those lambs look gorgeous! I like the way that Arnie describes things while he shows us the lambs. I'm so happy that the corn is in the ground! Nice wild turkey! Sparticus looks like he's pretty happy in his new home, I hope he has lots of fun. I really like the corn planter. Does it plant all the seeds or just corn? The corn planter is just set up for corn. He uses another planter for beans and barley which I am sure he'll be showing everyone soon 😄 Yes, Ben really tries to please and has fun doing it 😁
I just love you guys and your sheep farm! Who was the little lamb in the feeder at the end. He looked so happy hopping all the way to Arnie. Sorry about the 8% vote for your crops. I love it all!

Spartacus is such a little cutie with a wonderful mom. Little Mister was not that lucky. Maybe that's why he still is behaving like a baby and he loves to cuddle with Lynn. Would you consider keeping him as a pet?

Oh, it did eventually get pulled out overnight. The corn was all rescued. We did follow up on it in another video but you must have missed it 🙂

Arnie, I like to watch the making hay videos.
My favorites are: feeding sheep, Lynn sitting with the lambs, lamb races, pasture sheep, shearing sheep, and I like hearing about the sheep . You have years of a breeding program to look back on, and a brite future going forward .
My favorite breed is the Dorset but I like the Suffolk markings.

Spartacus looks like he will be fine in with the bigger kids. His momma will take care of him. I don’t blame her for eyeing up the creep feed. That’s like me passing by a bakery shop and not being allowed to drop in and buy something.
