    USA can help Europe with Ukraine and Europe can help USA with Taiwan. Europe will also keep increasing military spending naturally in response to the Russian threat. NATO can definitely become stronger from this period if we all do our fair share. If we stick together the Russian economy will spiral down and China will have to calm down with a united NATO standing behind Taiwan, Japan and South Korea

    I could not believe my ears, the journalist being interviewed suggested that the Trump idea about purchasing Greenland 🇬🇱 is not that crazy! The idea is as PM Mette Frederiksen, Denmark 🇩🇰 has already told Trump “absurd” and fortunately “belonging in a bygone age”. Along the same line both the former and the present head of government in Greenland have stated that Greenland is not for sale. Now Trump of course had a hard time handling this. But the matter ends here, he may kick and scream and misbehave, but it will change nothing and the idea will stay crazy and absurd 👍

This war is and should be mainly Europa's concern, and we need to step up and produce more weapons and ammunition. Hopefully this will change with a new German government and chancellor next year. But USA signed the Budapest memorandum, Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons in exchange for security helps from the USA, UK and Russia. As Russia is the attacker, it is in the interest of the USA to fulfill its promise to help Ukraine, together with its partners.

    • @benghiskahn3673
      @benghiskahn3673 22 часа назад +10

      I for one am no fan of Trump. HOWEVER, I do agree with him on the issue of European countries failing to meet their defence spending obligations. Many European countries seem to have forgotten or just decided to ignore the wisdom that you maintain peace by being prepared for war. Russia would not be acting in such a belligerent way if Europe had robust independent defence capabilities.
      European nations have neglected their own defence for decades on the assumption that 1) post-cold war there are no enemies to fight in conventional wars, 2) if 1 is wrong the US will always have our backs. This is flawed thinking of the highest level and has left Europe badly exposed.
      European countries have begun to increase spending, however there are still many countries that think they can get a free ride.
      Additionally, I think one of the big issues for the Euro countries is a lack of central cohesion. Russia sees this as a biiiiiig weakness because it takes the Euro countries forever to agree on how to respond to unfolding threats which allows Russia to take the initiative.
      I really do think that NATO should have taken a far more pro-active stance with Ukraine. We've allowed Russia to dictate terms from day one this has left us constantly tying ourselves in knots trying to agree on a response whilst Russia is already making its next 2 moves.
      I really do think that it is in the USA's interest to ensure that Ukraine wins this war and that Russia pays a high price. There seems to be a growing view in the US that Russia is not a threat, can be trusted and was forced into this war by NATO. This is simply mindless parroting of Kremlin manufactured falsehoods and needs to be confronted. Russia CANNOT and should not be trusted and should be treated in the same way as Iran and be regarded as a pariah on the world stage. Russia sees the US as its enemy, it sees the world that the USA created after WW2 as something to be torn down and replaced, and it sees its war in Ukraine as a key step in achieving that objective. Why? Because if Russia is allowed to get away with marching into Ukraine and stealing 25% of its land by force then it shows every other despot and authoritarian regime out there that they can do the same without any serious repercussion from the custodians of the global rules based order (The USA, Canada, UK, EU, Japan, Australia, etc)

    The debt ceiling doesn’t prevent runaway spending-it’s merely an arbitrary number that forces negotiations at fixed intervals. Its primary purpose is political, not economic, and it’s disconnected from the real drivers of fiscal health, like economic growth or inflation. Debt grows naturally with inflation and economic expansion, so the ceiling must always be raised. Removing it could streamline efforts to reduce unnecessary spending by eliminating this artificial hurdle and focusing on meaningful fiscal reform instead of political brinkmanship.

      Well, it would take decades, because the entire force structure, equipment, and capabilities of most European nations supplements US military power. Theyre a force multiplier. However, they don't have the capabilities to stand alone. Whether that is naval, air power, logistics, air lift, power projection, equipment, etc. There are some nations like France and the UK that do have global power projection, but again that is very limited, and also serves to basically supplement US power (like France in West Africa or the UK in the Indo-Pacific).

Biden had covid, which was bad luck and damaged the economy. Trump talks simple language, in simple terms, with simple solutions. They like that. Denmark has recognized in law, that the people of Greenland are a nation with the right to self-determination under international law. In other words, Greenland is "owned" by Greenland in the same way that Denmark-proper is "owned" by the King of Denmark, i.e. it may state "Denmark" as the sovereign state, but the national sovereignty lies with the people of Greenland. Denmark can no more sell Greenland to the US than we could sell Norway to the US, it is not ours to sell. @ equally demented old men, I like the circle around Biden a little better compared to the 🤡. Besides look at the data blue at least tries to help people, red always performs worse. Going back 5 decades. Same stats in the UK.

      you're re tarded. straight up. he is from the "National Review". they say whatever they are paid to say. that entire publication has not done any journalism in their entire existence. they are a mouthpiece for whichever billionaire cuts them the biggest check. gun lobbies, oil companies, zionists, etc. they'll say anything you tell them to say if the check is big enough

    Europe with its failing economies can't spend 3.4% regardless of pledges. Trump doesn't have hardware to send and even allocating money would be politically impossible talking into account that it won't change the inevitable outcome anyway.

    USA started a war in Europe in 2014. Now US has been waging a war (US Ukraine project) in Europe for over 10 years. The economy of Europe has been ruined by USA, specially the economy of Federal Republic of Germany - the main conqueror of US in Europe... used to be before USA demolished the European energy supply system in september 2021 (natural gas pipe lines Nordstearm and Nordstream 2). US made from Finland a 1300 km long airvraft carrier just on the Russian western border. Consequently Finland is now under the risk and lost lost its independence, the right to self-determination and freedom. Unfortunately, we do have now a NATO-president, who does know anything about Ukraine or Russia. Our president should make himself clear the trrue reasons of the Ukraine crisis. Likewise the members of the Finnish parliament should do the same. Seems that this president is led by the opinions of his UK born wife (a male is the head of the family, but female is the neck who turns the head in whatever direction).. and the main task and responsability of the president of Finland is foreign policy of the republic! If USA continues their aggressive appoach to Europe, USA wil soon destroy Ukraine completely. Better not to spoil the peaceful Baltic see with NATO aggression.
