This brought back happy memories! About 50 years ago we were on a family holiday from Cornwall to Scotland, I was about 13 and me and my Dad played Kingussie! Dad a big strong ox of a farmer hit a long but sometimes wayward ball, I remember one going in the river and Dad wading in to the shallows to retrieve it! My Dad passed away earlier this year aged 87, I miss him every day and it was nice to see this course again and think of the fun we had!
Drive up the A9 from Perth. Stop off at House of Bruar. Fantastic food and shopping. Then go walk around the waterfall, falls of Bruar. Then drive onto Kingussie. In the area, drive north and stop off in Aviemore.
Congratulations to Gunnar, that course looks absolutely stunning. Complimented by such beautiful scenery. Brought out some good Golf in you two too. Oh, I want to play Kingussie...enjoy the drinks boys 👏👏👏

Studies have shown that pin out is almost 100% better. Great golf there. I stayed in Aviemore years ago when I cycled around Scotland. I'm Canadian and was there trying out for the Murrayfield Royals hockey team and living with Scott Nisbet. Love love love Scotland

I want to play Kingussie. I worked in Kingussie about 36 years ago rebuilding the train platform there. Had a wonderful time there and hand many a night in the Station Hotel bar with the Shinty lads . Great bunch of guys ( not alot of teeth between them) . Spent my 18th birthday there .Would love to play that course . Stunning views

Ian Gunn is one of the nicest people to play golf with, always had time for me as a beginner when he was greenkeeper at Strathpeffer. He is renowned for fast good greens. KGC another one of the reasons I love living in the Highlands. Good film and your both playing well.
One of the most friendly and decent clubs in Scotland. We were once offered a free round whilst standing on the first tee by the pro becuase two stags had been rutting on the first green (of course we didnt take him up as clubs like kingussie need visitors). Such a great place.
Shinty - Camanachd Cup is the big one with all the teams in Scotland Newtonmore have actually won it the most with 34 then Kingussie with 25 then Kyles Athletic (from Tighnabruaich) with 21. Considering the population of those three combined is about 3000 compared to other Shinty towns Oban with 8000 and Fort William with 10000 that success is unreal. Kingussie won the league about 20 times in a row in the 80s and 90s

Hi Liam I played there 17 years ago and it was in great condition then however the weather was terrible and it rain all day eventually we had to come off I have all ways intended to go back but haven’t yet . Defo next year. Keep up the great work guys enjoy your channel so much.
