I listened to this so many times that my mom took the record away and hid it at the top of her closet. Only 9 years old, I climbed up on the clothing rack and reached for the record. The rack cracked and fell with me hitting my back and knocking the air out of my lungs. Gasping for air, I thought I was dying. My mom ran in and helped me regain my breath. She immediately gave me back the Elvis album and apologized. I almost died for my hero Elvis. Ha ha.

@Joseph Sokoloski I remember when Michael Jackson died people automatically started to trash talk Elvis, saying Michael was the real King of music. Today it's worse, people want the Beatles Abbey roads changed because the actual Abbey was once linked to slave trades. Others have been calling Elvis " a Southern man from a time of hate and segregation and wanting some Elvis realted things banned and for him not to be called "king". I think it's a matter of time until people start protesting Elvis..
@Joseph Sokoloski people overlook the fact that the rulers of Africa sold their own poor to America in slave trade agreements. And that south Africa had white slaves, that's all ignored today. The problem is too many "bad cops" and we needed to focus on that for all races, but everything got turned into a media circus and America decided to ban and punish the white race. So now it's seen as wrong to say anyone white was ever great, close airports named after white people such as the John Wayne airport. Take down old statues of whites and replace them with George Floyd holograms, change the name of musical acts, protesters burning cities to the ground and get treated like hero's for doing so. It's open season on whites .Now add in Covid 19 putting a stop to life as we knew it, forced closing , forced mask, America is a no longer a fair and free country , it's nearly a post apocalypse war zone.

@@cherylmcdowell39 Before you go, look at the schedule for Elvis Week in August and make sure they will be there performing. They plan things so far in advance each year that I don't want you to go without knowing for sure. The whole week is filled with activities. A fun time. And the candlelight vigil is a must.
@@keetonplace TELL KING TUTT THAT I WANT A PHOTO WITH HIM, I LOVE HOW MAGICAL HE PLATS THOSE DRUMS
Even more amazing with headphones on! You'll hear everything of the orchestra and Elvis. Amazing experience!
Dam right this is fire love it with head phones on nothing like it
Come on people! Let it be heard.
Sorry.... they chose some iconic songs that didn't need redone. Especially this one!
You can tell they didn't search thru the catalog very far....
Exactly what am doing, headphones on. Great album with the Philharmonic Orchestra
@@NFFC1865 You have just reminded me that I have Christmas money to spend.... Im getting this CD now !! Thank you :-)
Sweet baby Jesus that sounds awesome!!
He is the greatest singer and entertainer of all time. No one else comes close. ❤🎉😂😅😊
Elvis would disagree. He once stated that Roy Orbison was the Great singer to ever live.
I'd say both men are equally as good in different ways.
In interviews I have seen, Roy thought ELVIS was the greatest. ❤🎉😂😅😊
Gets better every time I hear it.
Ah herr👌

I could not have expressed your words any better(THANK YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH GENERAL LEE) you are a beautiful person yourself
Great talent which will never be seen again on this planet.
Not the biggest Elvis fan, but the bass player is killing it.
Agreed! The bass track has a sort of Carol Kaye (of The Wrecking Crew) vibe going on.
I don't care what they say about Elvis with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra -- this is stunning work. The orchestra is absolutely insanely good and Presley's voice jumps out like never before. Excellent recording. If only he could have heard himself with this kind of proud backing. There are many rock singers that I love, and they are great -- but Presley in this mode is untouchable. He is just so dynamic.
I agree very well said
Yup! I definitely agree. And I think he would have been impressed as well.
John LaStrada great comment! Love this tune this version sounds amazing!
John LaStrada: I was so impressed with the sound of The RPO, I went out and bought the albums. I am sorry to say, that while I LOVED the albums, I was so disappointed in the final product. The sound mixing is horrible.
powerful version
His tone and charisma is above the rest.Worlds greatest idol.
So true!
Wow, The King is a dude, he's as cool as they come, he has a swagger, an aura and a legend that will never the equalled.
This is the elvis that you get when you think of elvis .the white bel bottom onsi that is bedazled. And hos stance with the guitar.priceless .icon .one of a kind often mimicked never will there be another one like it
Outstanding. The strings add a whole new dimension to this classic.
Agreed! It's like putting more "meat on the bones".......
Agreed its fabulously relentless!!!
💜💜💜 LORD HAVE MERCY! 💜💜💜 WHAT A HANDSOME MAN, ELVIS PRESLEY WAS!!! 💜💜💜 HE WAS EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN A WOMAN! 💜💜💜 MINUS THE MAKEUP. ALL 💯% NATURAL 💜💜💜
CHERYL McDOWELL that’s what Sonny West said also. “ he was the most beautiful man he had ever seen “
Honestly, it's almost like fusion of Elvis with ELO. Astoundingly perfect!
Well stated.. this is the best Elvis track that has been orchestrated hands down!
How many of today's so called singers will last as long as this legend... I would guess zero
