Hi Jay Thank you for the video. I didn’t know what a Ferrum Forge knife is and it was new to me. The shape of the blades and the shape when it is closed looks very attractive. Cheers
As a fellow lefty I'd say my favorites I own or have owned are 5. Falcon 4. Gent 3. Stinger 2. Odium 1. Lefty Archbishop I don't think they made many of the Lefty ones, but they were produced by WE, made with M390, and are absolutely amazing.
Great video and knives. I got the MD FF Crux, Dao and Buc in partial trade, LNIB..All have the extra milling on the handles. They aren’t my most expensive knives but some of the best, great quality for the price. All 3 fit my big hand fine. The Crux isn’t my favorite knife but it’s near perfect. The design of both blade and handle are great, perfect size. I’m not a huge fan of finger choils but there’s plenty of cutting edge and the choil is still big enough for my finger. Like you mentioned, the only nitpick is the flipper tab is a little large. It has some weight too but just feels solidly built. The Dao and Buc have smart designs too, high quality and are just as nice. Can’t say enough good about these knives. Hopefully, Drop will get another run of them.
Hi Jay, thanx a lot for this vidio. Honestly, I didn't expect much of it, but was totally wrong. Very nice knives indeed, especially the Civivi Odium small has catched my interest. Well done! Best, Daniel
I love ferrum forge design I have all these knives and more 2 mordax blue and black slick black and milked cuts blue stinger Archbishop 1, mini Archbishop ECT..
I wish I could list a bunch of Ferrum Forge. Unfortunately, I only have one in the Mini Archbishop. I hope to change that awful predicament soon, but in the mean time I’ll just watch you. I think I need to get the Mordax, it looks like a great knife. Thanks for a great rundown Jay.
@@TheKnifeBeater alright so it came today, and I can say I could not be happier, blade is beautiful, handle is comfortable, action is smooth. Can you please review it?
Don't have any but seeing that FF Stinger on yt has me thinking about picking one up. Always glad to catch another Knife Beater video, HAPPY HALLOWEEN JAY !
hi Jay and all others. i just did subscribed. Sorry for my english but i need some help and i have 1 question: is it possible to find pocket folding knive with a "made in USA" logo on it, under 30-40 USD ? what brand and model it could be ?
Thanks for the sub! Welcome to the channel, glad to have ya. There are a few near your price range that are USA made: Buck 110 hunter, Buck 112 ranger. One of my favorite knives that is made in the USA is the Kershaw Link - amzn.to/3kNue7E. Hope this helps.
I have an original fortis A back from 2015 How the years have flown it was my first really expensive knife if I sold all my knives it would be the one ill hold on too it’s number 23 Of the first fifty of 250 or 300 cant remember. it has a special blade finish you can’t replicate so it’s a safe queen I’ve had it refinished twice the blade shape is amazing to me.
Does anyone know where I can buy a ferrum forge gent ? I owned and loved mine and pride myself on taking great care of my collection, unfortunately though I still some how lost my gent.Ive looked tried to go back to massdrop aka the drop now but I'm not sure but I believe they may not be selling knives anymore.
Mines like.. and I own all these Falcon Archbishop2.0 Minax Stinger Prolix - only cause I just got it. I also have a gent it’s a great knife also.. and I want a fortis 2.0 basically the upper scaled version of the falcon
Great vid! I have the stinger and I do appreciate the fuller as a means to open the knife. Nowadays I rarely use the flipper. Also I was late in trying to pick up a Protech Malibu so I ordered the Mordax. To be honest I'd rather my modern folders not come with a lanyard hole. That's how the knife can get away with a more even ratio of blade to handle. But I can understand how some would prefer a lanyard hole. Take care!
Thank you Paulie. i'm trying to get my hands on a Malibu as well, so I feel your pain. That's awesome you were at least able to get the Mordax though. I'm not a lanyard type of person either, I just try to look at knives from different perspectives, other than my own.
That was a good list. Really like the Mordax but wish it was more affordable. I like plunge or button locks whatever you want to call them. I didn't know the Odium was a Ferrum Forge design. Shame it is so small.
Lol. Yeah, I wish the Mordax didn't cost as much as it does. A full size Odium would be their Archbishop model, but unfortunately, they are in that Mordax price range. Thank you Rick.
i love the Buc, something about that blade shape.......BTW i don't even bother with right only clips knives, i feel it's like a spit in the face of us lefties, how hard is it ? i would love to get the Banter and it really bumms me out.
Of the five FF knives you featured, I own the Gent, Stinger and Crux and they're all super sweet. I also own the Exec and I'm not sure if it or the Crux has the smoother action. They are both pretty much drop shutty. I'd love to have a Mordax and if ever run across one at a bargain (Hah! Like that's gonna happen) I'll scarf it up.
Thanks for the vid Jay. Question: could you take a look at the SRM 9201 knife for us? Seems to be getting some favorable reviews lately. Would like your "take" on it. (Amazon item)
Elliot has been slowly creeping up my list of favorite knife designers. Odium is great, maybe even better than the elementum 😲 that's right I said it. The Falcon has been my most carried ferrum forge but I have been watching the secondary market for a Dao, and I feel like it could take the falcons place.
One of the best purchases or trades I’ve ever made is getting the MD WE FF Crux, Dao, Buk in partial trade all LNIB. I traded off a 10th Ann LE BM Infedel etc. Anyway, mine all have the extra handle milling which is worth getting. I have plenty of overpriced knives but these are worth every cent. The Dao and Buk both have slimmer handles, fairly light and make great EDC’s. I have other titanium framelocks (ZT’s) etc I never carry due to weight/size.
Hey bud. I watch you because I have CP and like the the fact that as you say you get right to the point. I have fine motor issues. I need a knife sharpening solution that is completely guided. I carry my knives for security work and also hunting and outdoors. I am unable to hold a consistent angle on other sharpening systems like work sharp etc. Sorry for the long winded story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey jet, thank you for sharing that. One-handed solutions are my speciality. Worksharp is tough for me to use because it requires two good hands. Lately, I use the KME sharpener - amzn.to/2Gfqb4S. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. Hope this helps.
As the other left handed guy in the room, I also appreciate you addressing the LH / RH issues and or features with all these.
Thank you JP!
Never heard of Ferrum Forge but I like their designs! Thanks!
Yeah, that have a few models I think you would really like. Thank you Howard.
Love my stinger and crux. Really want a mordax though

Nice of you to say. Thank you Wes!
Ferrum forge designs always look so sleek. I haven't owned any, but I do like the Mini Archbishop and the stinger.
Both great ones to pick up.
Awesome video, Jay! I don't own a Ferrum Forge knife, but I think the Stinger is pretty cool!
Thank you David. The Stinger is a great one to start with.
nice vid. I own several Fortis, cruxes and falcons that I sent so Ferrum Forge to customize the finishes. Luv them.

I just picked up the Ferrum Forge chimera from WE knives. I absolutely love it

Seeing them come up on the secondary market a bit more recently!
I appreciate your advice maybe one day I will be able to get one but for now just a dream for the foreseeable future 😕😟thanks again brother
Thinking of whether or not to order the stinger or the mordax. Any suggestions from those who have both?

We Minax
Falcon
Mordax
And the Arch Bishop!

Great list Dogan.
I just got the stinger but haven't had time to carry it yet.
Great video, the only one I own is the mini archbishop and it’s an amazing little knife.

Great review! The Gent is one of my favorites, one of the smoothest in my collection. Found some custom scales for it.
Thank you. Very cool, I'll bet that Gent looks amazing with custom scales!
I had the gent when It first came out. I liked it. But I did eventually sell it. Have not had one of there knives since.
I hear ya Keith. There really isn't a lot of FF knives available in that price range. I hope that changes though.
The Stee Will Terra is a beauty! Trust me!
