I won't have any intention to make the lotion but I was awfully interested in what is actually inside the products that I happily use. This is the most informative video I've found. Thank you so much for making it.

Such interesting information. Thank you. Now I realize DHA is not so cut and dry to use to make a self tanner! Fascinating chemistry!

Very interesting video! I have a question! The pigment you add to make the lotion brown is only for a color guide right? It doesnt change the actual color of the developped dha in the skin once it's washed off?

It helps improve the intensity and 'brown' of the DHA in its early stages (to offset any orange) - the dyes only last approx. 2 days of staining after which time only the DHA can be seen, but by then the intense 'orange' has also dissipated. This just gives a better brown from the moment its applied.

There are a few ways to broaden your searches for raw materials:
      • Visit our global suppliers page: createcosmeticformulas.com/IngredientSuppliers/cosmeticingredientsuppliers-897/
      • Join our Cosmetic Raw Materials for Small Brands facebook group: facebook.com/groups/1734896293290235/ here you can split packs with others to access materials from large suppliers
When you are a student with us, you also get access to our raw material database, which has 1000’s of raw material details in it, along with supplier details - so you can access this info, get in touch with suppliers and ask for samples (they will provide our students samples) and/or seek minimum pack sizes (or consider purchasing and splitting packs on the Small Brands facebook group above).
