    Brad nailed it.
Nothing can replace the times you have with your kids when they are young and innocent.
If you have a young child and this song does not
make you tear up then there is something wrong with you.

My two daughters are grown now. The oldest was diagnosed with an ultra rare form of liver cancer just over 3 years ago. After 3 major surgeries and one minor she is getting clean scans now and we are forever grateful for the alert urgent care doctor that discovered the bulge in her abdomen and sent her straight to the ED. That doctor saved her and gave her a chance for a normal life. I had to work away from home for several years while she was growing up and missed so much. This song is so special.

@@billallen1307 that had to be gut wrenching for you.
So glad your daughter is doing better.

You trying to get me to tear up? As a High school Confirmation Catechist/ Core Team/ Small group leader. I used to play this song for few years with the Post Confirmation last class/party/ Final leadership blessing/ blessing from the newly confirmed on the adult leaders. I said it was a gift of song ( A sending off, a farewell) from me to them. I also said I hope this reflected the feelings of the rest of the team leaders. I never was a father, but they were a 2nd family to me, especially the ones who stayed to become Confirmation/Youth Ministry/Life Teen Core Team Leaders. Some stayed for years. This song is basically a parent to child teaching and relationship song. But also any adult who had or has an important role in a child's life. Usually for a long term.
Brad & Lex as you are about to enter parenthood. I hope you'll remember and apply some of the songs you reacted to in your parenting. Such as this song and "Cat's In The Cradle" as well as others that talk about parent/child relationships , guiding, teaching, what not to do. I hope all is good with you and the baby.
