A lot of this stuff are things the LDS Church has tried to keep hidden from its members, and their excuses are horrible.
It's hard to buy into their story line once one starts discovering the facts. Like the relationship between the Smith and Cowdery family... Something the church avoids at great lengths due to making Joseph and Oliver's claims seem less miraculous

@@patriciafinn5717 sadly that is true. I’ve been out of the church 22 years now, and have been doing research pretty much none stop and I STILL come across information that was either unknown, or denied but now accepted, even IF sanitized up

I wonder why Joseph Smith never had Hyrum Smith as his scribe. Those two were supposed to be really close. Seems strange for Joseph to bring a stranger to do the job

VERY easy to explain that one...
Joseph could not use known family, their claim would have been rejected right away. Oliver Cowdery and Joseph Smith go out of their way to state they never knew one another, YET they are 3rd cousins, and their fathers belonged to the same scrying club, showing they did indeed known of one another at least.
IF people knew they were related, they could not pull this off so easily.

That makes sense. It also explains later when Hyrum asks Joseph to describe to method the Book Of Mormon was translated by. Joseph refuses to answer. It seems like brotherly ribbing… Hey Joe, tell’’em how you did that miraculous thing… I’d love to hear you talk your way out of that one

Have you ever done a video on the freemason temple built in nauvoo? Over 200 freemasons entered the freemason lodge in nauvoo, and smith wanted that. Smith saw some connection between freemasonry and the temple priesthood and the temple he built in nauvoo

No I have yet to cover that BUT I am within a few videos. I'd have to check my USB stick with all my episodes on there to see IF it is the next video, or the one after for my other series.
I actually plan on covering the Freemasonry within the family period. Hyrum had joined the Mason's in the mid 20's. Smith Sr was also a Mason around that time, though Dan Vogel argues that he wasn't. I will also present his argument that video since it was a one on one we had under my other channel name a year back.

Quiet interesting how Laban Clark made it as the main villain in the Book of Mormon eh? Just another example of Smith adding his local to the story line.
