Audio quality isnt good, apologies, but let me know what you think! I wanna get better at writing and delivering scripts and intertwining them with the video, did not expect this to be an hour long haha
This vid randomly appeared in my recs right away, so that's a good sign lol Mic quality aside, the pacing and editing is already really good. Definitely worth the effort
So many hilarious moments in this run. My favourite was 39:09, that Elise had a plan and track limits couldn't stop it. The "pit entry speed too high" AI fails in GTWC were great too, I had no idea the AI could screw up like that when given enough power. Sure, the audio's a bit scuffed, but I didn't mind it after a while, and it ended up making the live reactions even funnier IMO. Nicely done, keep it up.
I love how the Elise’s divebomb was so scuffed it looked like he was actually a human trying to aim for a hit lol. And yeah, i believe the reason behind the Audi’s pit mishaps is because (at the start of the championship) its default grid position was 5th aka the closest one to the entry of the pits, seems like gt4 doesn’t change pit box locations even after qualifying so pretty unlucky to be him :^) Kinda wished that didn’t happen to the fastest opponent for more of a challenge but hey it’s all on him at the end of the day, it was only in his audi driver nature to push the speed limits a bit Thanks for watching tho! In hindsight i probably shoulda checked out a setup for that MR2 or the bouncy clk from you haha
29:41 bros are doing the oval 💀 The AI in this game with multi-thousand horsepower cars honestly remind me of the endgame AI in FlatOut 2, where instead of making them drive better or giving them traditional rubberbanding, they just gave them a bunch of horsepower and said "figure it out."
Honestly a good idea. Would like to see more unique stuff like this eventually. Maybe a randomized run or even challenges like this in other racing games like midnight club maybe
Funnily enough all power-related upgrades work this way, they define a "low RPM multiplier" and "high RPM multiplier" for torque, where the used multiplier is calculated in between the two depending on where the RPM is between a car's min and max RPM. It just so happens that the Fiat 500F's stage 2 turbo has a high RPM multiplier of *4.67x* (and a low rpm multiplier of 1.71x), so even at the low RPMs, a car with it installed still performs better than stock. (The 500R's stage 2 as used here only has a 4.54x high RPM torque multiplier.) Edit: I dun goofed, it's the 500F that has the highest power stage 2 turbo, not the L
(there is of course some exception with Engine Balancing and NA Tuning since those also move all the RPM points of the engine up, which also adds on some additional power due to how power is calculated; Power = Torque × RPM ÷ [some constant for units])
(and also stock-applied power upgrades / forced-induction parts are defined to do nothing at all, so people putting stock turbos from an LMP into their hybrid parts car are just being baited by the game xd)
next challenge run: gt4 but every car i use i have to recreate in automation and whatever lap i get in beamng in hirochi short is how much horsepower it has
After watching the full video, I have to say this is the most entertaining GT4 vid I've seen in a while lmao, that Ram coming at you at light speed was genuinely terrifying 😂 Good vid bro, lots of fun stuff to see here :)
@@night2vyife yeah all the power goes to the front for some reason. Was similar on GT3 as well. Maybe Kaz hated the TT back then haha. But yeah put it to a 30-70 split and it drives beautifully.

Only gt4 challenge run ive watched fully through believe it or not so keep it up 👍 and you cannot do this in Vanilla right you emulate and probabaky do whatever yeah?
(i haven't watched the full video yet) From someone who messes with GT4 pnach files codes alot giving AI 4x or more doesn't mean they corner any better
Nice to see more commentary out of you, but this video definitely need an increase of volume in its microphone, yeah. Also, how did you manage to o put those 4x multtiplier on these opponents too Also, how about a opponents having 1/4 instead next time?
Yeah especially in the first few races I had rlly bad mixing with the microphone as I left the game audio too high. I use Cheat Engine for this, basically I go to arcade mode while having the favourites list secret menu option active. I then choose a race car or something with a turbo, set it as a favourite so that finding the codes will be easy with all 6 cars. I cant remember the turbo codes for any specific car sadly but if you search up “PCSX2 Gran Turismo 4 hybrid” on youtube by baba0rum, in that video’s description it has a really helpful spreadsheet with every upgrade code. Open the spreadsheet and find any car in the list which has “stage 0”, I usually use the Yellowbird as it is the first car in the list, in that case the code is 000009C9, so load a race with 6 yellowbirds and go to cheat engine. In cheat engine, select the magnifying glass icon at the top left and click on gt4 or pcsx2, make sure it says 4 bytes and click the “hexadecimal” checkbox. Then paste the 000009C9 into the search bar in cheat engine and click “first scan” It should start scanning for addresses and the ones you want are typically at the bottom of the list, but as a failsafe I back out of the race and select a different turbocharged car, can be anything, and if you scroll to the bottom of the list again the addresses you want should be highlighted in red. Simply click on each of them to add them to your list then you can change the values to turbo addresses which multiply the power. E.g the fiat which is 00000C26 If theres something you need help with let me know
@@night2vyife i see. So you manually upgrade your opponents car when you enter a race using the Yellowhirf as a base code. With Cheat Engine every time. That's quite mad. So yeah, i'm just curious with what kind of sorcery you did. So i think i'll just back off slowly before hearing more of it will give me a headache 😅
Oh no I didn’t have to reset it for every race, the addresses can just be frozen in place so it’s not a hassle at all. Just finding the championship addresses is a bit annoying but it works if you do the 2CV championship Also yeah that idea is pretty scary lol, maybe I could give everyone max downforce idk
lol, and I’ve been testing balance of performance for a couple new tournament ideas and with any luck we should be getting a new one late November early December? But theres more stuff coming very soon either way!
This was a really good watch! I was wondering though, do you know if it would be possible to choose other upgrades for the opponent cars as well? Like for example, making them have lowered suspension and aftermarket wheels and such. It would make the game a bit more immersive IMO, if you could make the opponents look a little bit tuned.
You can do that yeah but it would be a sort of tedious! A little while ago someone called “Okänd” found the Cheat Engine addresses for car info in the career mode garage, and you can copy-paste the addresses for the AI to use. Although it wouldn’t exactly work well for career mode races as you’d have to recreate each opponent car, and hope that the car you copy-pasted the address for spawns in at the correct grid position. Otherwise if you use one cars’ tune on a completely different one, the wheels don’t match up and it looks cursed lol But it’s fun if you wanna mess around with your own garage cars in arcade mode where you can set cars as opponents easier, ill link the video below bc youtube is weird with links
@@night2vyife Thank you so much for the detailed info! I suppose some levels of tedium are to be expected, but it's really cool that it's doable nonetheless!
@@andreasskjoldhammer6493 For sure! If you did do this for the career mode races it would add so much more character to the opponents instead of them all looking stock, grassroots track day sorta thing
@@night2vyife Yeah, exactly! One of my favourite aspects of NFS ProStreet is the fact that all opponents drive uniquely customized cars, giving the game so much character. You couldn't go that far in GT4 obviously, but just a lowering and some wheels would go a long way I'd say.
Audio quality isnt good, apologies, but let me know what you think! I wanna get better at writing and delivering scripts and intertwining them with the video, did not expect this to be an hour long haha

Ohhh wow, thank you for explaining this so well! So that’s why the turbo upgrades have 2 columns in the specDB file
no problem :)
(had to figure this out anyway while a few weeks ago working on a program to draw GT4's engine graphs outside the game)
Best of luck doing that with all the cars in this game lol 👍
