A truly fantastic dark ride, and a pretty damn good family coaster too. It's a ride you just go on again and again and again and again, and never get bored. Europa Park really did well with Arthur. :-D

The Luc Besson movie was very popular in Europe, to the point where two sequels and a Studio 100 cartoon was made. I hear the cartoon is meh, so I probably wouldn't watch it.
How immersive and beautiful! Better then a Disney ride! Wow! When I was very young, we were stationed in Stuttgart. We used to go to this fairytale themed park that was just magical! You could walk through the Big Bad Wolf, see the grandmother in his stomach, call to Rapunzel to let down her hair, play with water cannons at a lily pad pond. It was amazing!

In diese Achterbahn habe ich selbst meine Mama und meine Tante reinbekommen wo Achterbahnen eigentlich gar nicht mögen... Sie ist echt wirklich gut durchdacht mit den Darkrideparts und dem kleinen Schwungvollen Ausflug ins Freie. Ist echt für jedes Alter zu fahren.

It is also used in Dubai (Dragon Gliders) and Beijing (Jurassic Flyer). I would love to have this at Futuroscope in Poitiers, France. It looks more “flexible” and comfortable to use than another coaster, right?

Disney had been bragging about cosmic rewind as the first fully 360degree articulable coaster, even dubbing it the “omnicoaster”, alluding to the groundbreaking nature of their “omnimover” system, but it seems like this ride already perfected the concept years ago. And the inverted track design is way better suited to create dark ride sections (just like Peter pan’s flight revolutionized the “ghost house” dark ride model). Obviously, this particular coaster isn’t very thrill-focused, but the ride system would certainly allow for it...
I don't understand anything that's going on and it's one of the many European dark rides that don't make sense to the rest of the world, lol. It still looks marvelously fun though and looks like the same exact ride system used on the How To Train Your Dragon ride.
The Park where this is located at is owned by the German Mack Family who also own Mack Rides, a Roller Coaster and Theme Park ride manufacturer. This was their prototype for a new roller coaster, which they have sold to Motiongate for the How tp Train your Dragon ride.
Well, it's me (the designer) and I don't take drugs nor drink. Just watched the Arthur movies couple of times and created something that makes sense and different from what was already done in the theme parks at that time (early 2010's) but still within a good budget and feasible with easy technology. Just think outside the box but keep both feet on the ground.

The technique used to do the bees wings was a genius idea. Amazing job all around. Its just hard to believe such an imaginative creation came from one's mind.
@@gibbage1 no you didn't offend me. It's all a collaborative effort with the different people of the companies involved. First the IP is great (and the show set design too, the challenge was to give a scale to it in the real world), and my aim was for everyone to live the adventure like in the movies (they fly on mosquitos for example in the first episode, was the inspiration for the spiral above the indoor plaza). What was important for me was to be more than a dark ride. Making it appealing for the all family members, even teens. That's why the coaster part. But for a dark ride you need to control the guest view, that's why the spinning. Mack Rides already mastered the spin control (euromir) and powered coaster, we just mixed both. And put it "inverted" so it's quite unique for Europapark, and integrates much better in a building by fixing the track to the ceiling structure. Then a lot of people involved brought their piece of improvement... The key is to get people passionate about the project to deliver their best! If you can share your own passion, you can really get the best of everyone. Anyone. From engineer to construction workers, to artists, to operation's team, to park's owner... Everyone! The bee wings system was proposed by the animatronic manufacturer, Life Formations.
What an odd franchise to give a dedicated ride to that’s this immense and expensively produced. I’m guessing Arthur is a lot more popular there than it was around the rest of the world?
Now this is a roller coaster I would enjoy-smooth, immersive, with a non-scary view. The artistry and design is fabulous!

Eurpopa Park is pretty amazing. It gives a lot of Disney vibes, but with much bigger rides.

Before I watched this video, I was thinking that this ride was centered around Arthur from PBS Kids...not King Arthur or anything...
