The WWE is notorious for watering down talent from fully getting over. Flair couldn't fully blossom on the mic in WWE like the way he could elsewhere. Hell, Even TNA Flair was better than 2000s WWE Flair because in TNA he didn't have any handcuffs and said what he was able to say on the mic to get a reaction and fully get over whatever he was trying to put over. In WWE, he was neutered.

Steamboat vs Flair did well but not big time business.My only disappointment was not putting the belts on Power and Glory cause they were underrated. As a kid watching the Steiners get beat time after time by the Quebecers I used to be like wtf is this shit? I watched these guys destroy people in NWA/WCW and they are getting beat by these two clowns??? There WWF run was awful.
I sympathise with them. They were booked poorly. They were given short title reigns instead of allowing them to dominate the division, and bizarrely were instructed to drop the titles to The Quebecers without any buildup. Pierre said in a shoot interview that their refusal to do jobs was what got them heat and ultimately resulted in their departure. As a footnote, the final televised appearance was a King of the Ring qualifying match on WWF Superstars, which aired on May 7th 1994, during which IRS pinned Scott Steiner.

Scott was in a qualifying match for the 1994 King of the Ring tournament, but I don't remember seeing him in the WWF again after that until 2002.
I felt like they went to a retirement home, when they went to the WWF. Even at C level WCW house shows, they would have explosive matches.

i always enjoyed tag team matches, real tag teams, way more exciting than any singles. WWE never has grasped tag team wrestling.

I thought the Road Warriors had a pretty successful run in WWF. Or am I wrong? During the days of Hulk Hogan's departure, it seemed Vince was hell bent on finding his next big superstar and every single wrestler had a gimmick! Maybe the "college wrestler" gimmick didn't go over well, and they needed something else? Who knows?
At that time wwf was cheezy. It was all characters not good WRESTLING thats why WCW was better.

Pierre said in a shoot interview that their refusal to do jobs was what got them heat and ultimately resulted in their departure.
