This is a wonderfully helpful video. Well done ACS Composite. It will help folks install more of your excellent quality parts (if which of course some reside on my C7 Z06). NICE!
@@wewuzkangz4723 pretty late to the party but you dont really understand this video if you think the difference between a stingray body and a Z06 are the same, totally different, including the front... i will agree that its a bit too expensive but it makes a massive difference on Appearance!!
Nice but, I think it would be more cost effective to just go ahead and get the Grand Sport.. then you get the wider factory wheels to go with it, an a car that will actually hold more value... There's going to be a buttload of C7s on the market, as a lot of owners bail to get a new C8...
How are your sales on this product? i have not been able to find customer related videos.. im about to purchase a c7 stingray and want this really bad but its really expensive.. is there a discount your team would be willing to offer? shipping it to me itself will cost me an arm (Middle East)
do you have videos/photos or pdf of the Camaro 2016-18 install and the option duct addon. i like to research my parts before i buy it. if i get this kit it will be for the looks and use and not just for the looks.
Just had damage to the driver rear upper quarter panel, driver rear wheel, and bumper. Debating whether or not to just go this way now. It's just sitting in the garage busted up :( This kit would replace every part that's currently damaged. Ughhh decisions.
Body kit 4k lt4 SC upgrade 5k for all parts literally have a Z06 and saved like 20k. I swear these car manufacturers be having yall think your buying something special. When you can save so much money just buying the upgrades.
It’s a great question, Jason. The idea behind this kit is to avoid replacing the entire rocker panel. Replacing that panel requires de-glueing the panel off the aluminum chassis and cutting the frame. A slight mistake can have disastrous consequences, if not handled properly. Our rocker panel avoids this issue and makes the install much more friendly for DIY’ers. That route is always available and can be ordered from us should you choose to go the “full replacement” route! Thanks for the comment!
It's amazing this is available and you can do it....but...why not just trade in for a Grand-Sport or Z06? Why spend $3k, 75% of the cost for upgrades are lost when selling a car. Buyers just say I don't care what you spent on ....... I will say ACS has a great selection of add on's.
@@phantomstratocaster said no one... You realize you need to add in cost for wider tires and wheels, or is there suddenly a market for ppl that want a wide body with narrow wheels..
ACSComposite I know I would need the ones that come with the kit but did the holes I drilled for the scoops I have now make this rear end kit unusable?

The way it was done in days of old. Forget safety, just go for it and get the job done. I just had to stop video. NO EYE PROTECTION OR MASK. I guess it works, but me , I would wear protection, it's a must IF you want to keep your eyes and keep breathing. Just MY thoughts - you may agree or disagree.
@@snvffxxx Its plastic junk. I am really disappointed in how cheap made my 2018 Stingray is built. The dye is coming off the drivers seat. GM will replace a panel. Next time I will just dye it myself or sell the AMT plastic model car.
You mean buy an actual Z06? It is significantly cheaper this route. We also avoid needing to to do the front widebody since that requires ungluing the panels from the chassis (quite a risky procedure), and you get the benefits of putting larger wheels if you want to go more power. Why would this devalue the car? Many people are looking for new track cars and these are great for that purpose!
Interesting video. The hardest part was hearing that 5 second song loop on repeat for 25 mins..
ROFLMAO!!!!!
Got to love old school body shop guy's no mask or safety glasses when cutting panels.
Noticed the same. Just get in there and start making dust. Inhale deeply. Repeat.
Dude you beat me to it lol
Jay Carter SAME HERE.
''PROS''
Yep, but who gives a Shit-
Sooo LT4 super charger 2000, and this wide body kit is about 3K.. If you buy everything new.. hmmm kinda glad i got a Stingray

6 years late. But no goggles or mask. Great video.
Thats a pretty subtle widebody kit. I was expecting it to be wider and the front quarter panels replaced to match
Cashper Da Gahd 2K just meant to match the z06/grandsport and the front isn’t any wider on those just plastic extensions
@@thesteeners alot of work for nothing it seems
You have to remember, this is a Corvette, not a Civic.

You got to look at it ZO6 wide body is going to cost you about $40k more you probably can do that kit for $4,000
Kenneth Collier he said grand sport not z06
KillSpawn47 thats problem
The wheels crack anyway and chevy doesnt like to replace them
@@KillSpawn47 Even a Grand Sport is like 12-14k more than a regular Stingray.
Thank You. Excellent tutorial
Very good tutorial,I turned my 02 could into a grand sport using similar mods.
Great video, seen others mention that they got it pre painted off your site yet when I go there I don’t see an option for painted kits
Hi Jordan, thanks! We only offer the Widebody in primer
Are you able to provide the ZR1 front bumper and wing along with this widebody?
ACS: Is very expensive but you do get Quality products 👌.......
This is something that’s been on my to do list for some time now. Sucks you can find a good fitting wheel/drag radial package for the slim body.
Good fit and finish so much better then bolt on crap

How about the front fenders I taught z06 have different front fenders
Great video!

@@ACSCOMPOSITE done, thank you for the reply.
Are the new panels fiberglass?

How much a was this widebody kit ???
With all those time and money wasted to convert a base stingray to look like a Z06.. mine as well get the Z06 in the first place.

Ron Dail 40k and 60k is a huge difference
Amen to that!
because they want a wide body stingray not a grand sport

@@henryw31 I know I’m 2 years late but even then buying this wide body plus wheels & tires wouldn’t accumulate to $20k.
If I already had the acs scoops and go to this kit is there any conflicts?
dubba07 i am assume you have the 45-4-123 scoop. If this is the case, no. Your scoop does not integrate the quarter panel.
ACSComposite I know I would need the ones that come with the kit but did the holes I drilled for the scoops I have now make this rear end kit unusable?
dubba07 both scoops use the same mounting points and optional cutting for duct work Is identical.
Guy is kind of crazy drilling and grinding on that fiberglass without at least an N95 mask. May as well huff asbestos.
Ya lost me at cutting a big ass hole in the side.
Why does this guy keep saying Rocker panel???

Step one, completely disassemble a body panel.
