Does anyone else find this a really noisy machine? I also think it is one of the most difficult to thread . The paper guide incorrectly numbers the first notch through which you start threading which is why I looked at this video.. Unfortunately my Elna machines are in storage awaiting the end of lock down and I have borrowed from my daughter. No wonder she never uses it!

Leuk machientje voor die prijs en als je eenmaal alles goed opgevolgd hebt via het filmpje lukt het ook. Maar mijn probleem met de draad was dat ik wel omhoog ging met de draad maar geen idee had wat er bedoeld werd, tot ik het zag op 1:45, dit zet ik er voor het gemak van mijzelf er maar bij voor de volgende keer als ik hem weer tevoorschijn haal. Het voetpedaal is van plastic en een beetje stroef om te beginnen, je denkt "als het maar heel blijft" zo teer voelt het aan.

It does you have to hold thread in front of needle, if you hold it at back it doesn't work
Look up "Abi's sewing guide" tutorial for this machine.
Could you please advice me the setting if it’s right for normal sew

Horrible instructions in the manual, does not even explain what to do with the lower thread, and the basics of how the sewing machine operates, or the recommended measurements of threads to use. Lidl takes it for granted that the people who buy the machine have experience with sewing machines. This video is also insufficient. For instance, what happens with the lower thread once you start sewing? What is it for? How do you actually start with a piece of cloth? How do you knot the thread in the beginning and at the end of work on the material?
