Crush the 2 TC Meta | Ra/Set Build Order

- The meta is getting dry and sad for a lot of matchups. I'm here to show you the way to have some fun with an alternative play-style. These builds are strong, hit hard and always have a follow up. Adapt them in your own way in order to crush your opponent.
Today's build is an incredibly strong timing push which not only punishes 2 TC play but is also a fantastic opening for many different Eggy styles of play. Mess around with it and tell me what you figure out.

3 Food
2 Gold
5 Food (House then Food)
2 Wood
2 Gold
Advance (Husbandry/Pickaxe/Shaduf in that order)
1 Food vill build barracks with pharoah back to food (make 5 spears)
1st new vill build armory then food
2nd vill to gold
Rest food till heroic.
Move 8 vills to gold
Advance mythic age.

Is Anubis a good god for Set for the 'Serpent Spear' and 'Necropolis' upgrades? Stronger spearmen and 10% more favor generation for all those hippos.
Anubis isn't bad. Serpent Spear is nice and Anubites are really powerful raiding units. The problem is that Shifting Sands is much stronger than Plague of Serpents 95% of the time and Shaduf is a big boost to the economy.
Anubis is good if you can abuse Anubites and on water maps (particularly mediterranean), where the serpents can help win water. Anubites can be strong against slow hersir and Greek early since they can run all around the slow heroes and raid as much as they want. However, Ptah is just as good for early aggression due to Shifting Sands and gives an economic boost as well. Shifting Sands is also much better in the late game than the serpents if you decided to save it. Ptah is also the safer of the two for the same reasons.
If you want to see some high level Anubis play, Joe has been known to pick him when playing Isis.
Anubis is clearly strong, but Ptah is OP. Boit told in a discussion in rts sanctuary that you could delete the god power and Ptah would still be strong enough to pick.
you can also do a variation of this fast mythic with bast, 2 monuments and then using eclipse with 3 avengers
This is very all in and requires you to get lots of value out of your myth units. Whereas when you go the tech route, rushing straight for Horus spearman means you skip the migdol units which is a really big resource 'gain' if you get what I mean. The bast shenanigans also has a really big let down in that farms are going to cost double which hurts a lot with these types of builds... especially when you are trying to use the lack of farms to your advantage.

What is the Fu zhi style you mentioned at the end? Have not heard of this before
Fu Xi can do this style pretty much exactly the same! Early advance with one barracks to make some halbs into a quick mythic age for great flood/uproot/call to arms! Very scary!
How could you be able to research hunting dogs from tower? Is this some voobly thing
Click on your tower, hold shift, and then select your granary as it is being built. This will allow you to queue hunting dogs/husbandry to begin researching as soon as the granary is built. It just means that you don't have to go back to the granary once it's built to research the tech. Hope that answers your question
Oh man, I see even more eggy players incoming. The most boring civ to play against. He destroyed him just due to the his god powers :D
