There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. Patti LaBelle sang this song like the RENT was PAST-DUE and the Sheriff was on his way!! She left her entire soul on that stage! No one today comes this close except FANTASIA!! Patti is a NATIONAL TREASURE!!
And what's even more incredible is that although fantasia would be a worthy choice, even she would need to bootcamp a ton to actually capture Prime Patti. The Power and technique is unmatched to this day of Prime Patti. She was miles beyond even her own peers in certain ways. I just sit in awe of Prime Patti.

@Allsmoke 23 Yeah I saw her years ago when she was under the direction of Bud Ellison her former musical director. The band and her back singers were tight.
@Allsmoke 23 Oh I saw Patti in 1988 and around 1991. I always remember her talking about Budd and her band. She is one of those singers who come even more alive with a great band who knows her voice.
