That's a shame the Rigid was discontinued. I guess TTI couldn't have the Rigid outperforming the Milwaukee. As far as the channel, this is something a lot of us didn't know we needed. I love to see these tests, and they're beyond helpful for tons of us from home mechanics to professionals, to many other trades using various impacts. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to what 2022 brings!
Thank you for all your hard work this year. It may have started as a hobby but you've helped inform so many of us as well as save us some money. My Fiancé knows how much I love when you guys drop a video. God Bless you Torque Test Channel, enjoy your well deserved holiday!
Upgraded from an older 18v kit. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
Or do what I did, pick a line that has your favorite color, that why I went with Milwaukee, but if makita comes out with a microwave… I’m selling my milfuckee in a heartbeat
Because of you guys doing these test to show the truth in what machines got. I know exactly what I'm getting when I'm looking for what I need. And for that, you guys will always be my first stop to learn and know about the brands that brag. Please don't stop what you're doing, this is best channel all around. I don't care what anyone says. You guys are number one!! And thank for for all that you do. Keep it in 2022!!
Please, don't thank us. Thank you guys (and wives) for doing something that never has been done (and you do it amazingly well). Here's to a better 2022!
This is a well put together list! Thank you for all the hard work (and big bucks) spent doing these tests, it has definitely influenced a few of my purchases (as I'm sure it did for thousands of others). Can't wait to see you hit 100K! Have a good one!
I took my Kobalt XTR driver and swapped out the Anvil from a regular 3/8 Kobalt impact because it constantly broke bits and it was way stronger than the regular 24 volt 3/8 impact.
I would like to see rotary hammers on your air hammer dyno. At my work, I can’t count on having useful compressed air everywhere. A quick glance makes it look like SDS rotary hammers (with the rotary turned off) are the closest cordless electric equivalent to an air hammer.
Glad to have found your channel in time to see the research and understand the right move for me was to cancel my DeWalt order and get me one of these soon-to-be-discontinued Ridgids before they become obsolete
I seriously started cracking up at the end with the wobbly extensions. lmao. But seriously though, thank you for doing what you do. You guys actually sold me on the 3/8" Milwaukee Mid torque over the 1/2" for my travel tool kit and i've been super happy with the performance. takes off 130ft-lb lug nuts all day long.
I'd love to see some best of 12v! As much as I'd love to run all M18 or DeWalt 20v tools, the 12v tools just fit in more places more easily. Especially M12 with the compact batteries.
You guys should have some bonus episodes where you run air tools at the maximum pressure the compressor goes. If you have dedicated air systems in a shop almost, if not all run at 175psi out of the compressor and later regulated down. I know my shop is 175psi and throws out the regulators and we have full 175 at our bays going into our air tools. I would like to see what power impacts at 175psi, specifically the 1894 THOR.
Probably not good for longevity of the tool life to run them 175 psi all day every day when they are rated for 90 psi. Not guna hurt it right away or running it that occasionally, but always running at the psi its more likely to fail faster
You guys rock. Keep putting out the great content, and everyone will continue to watch I have no doubt. Hope the best of holidays for the fine folks at the TTC
I knew you guys had a winner the first time I watched you Ugga Dugga some IR air impact gun. You just keep getting better and better. Cheers and Happy New Year!
I thought there should have be some love for some 12v stuff on the list or sub compact but great list and it's been a awesome year with TTC on my RUclips rotation. Hope for many more years to come
Hi, this channel is absolutely outstanding, it’s extremely informative and helpful I watch it all the time, this channel helped me purchase my dcf921 and it’s awesome, ty so much for all your quality videos, I seriously appreciate them, this channel is a keeper, ty, Bob,
Ryobi P262 mid torque impact with that 9 amp hour battery should have been on there... I use three of them everyday in my shop and they have been very dependable for the last 3 months.. we'll see long-term, so far I'm very impressed for the money. Happy New Year!
You need to test the craftsman 820 1/4 impact against the dewalt 887. Something isn’t right with your previous test of the craftsman since it smoked dewalts 887 in the VCG TTR VIDEO
the only problem i have with this list is the fact that the astro thor impact is virtually impossible to get. its been out of stock for months now and no end in sight!
That Ridgid 1/2 with 4ah Max Bat kit were being blown out @ HD for $119. Over 700 sold in about 30 mins. It's more than I need, mid trq would be more appropriate, but with the included bat it was impossible to not reach for the wallet.
Where's the Matco 1/2 air high torque. I saw you guys test it. It's very powerful for it's size. I own one now and it gets it done. For a 1/2 inch air it's a beast for it's size compared to all other brands
Thank you for still keeping on and handing us videos! Always look forward to the next drop from you guys. I wish all of you at TTC and your next ones a great holiday and a happy new year! Untill the next one ladies and gentlemen 🙏🍻
I'd love to see standard drills and hammer drills tested. Also, the big right angle drills are improssible to find any torque specs on outside of the bit diameter they're rated for. This is another category where that top end power is important.
Congratulations on your first year ! Thanks for all your (significant) efforts to produce real DATA instead of rhetoric. Hope you keep it up. Loved the air hammer reviews as well. Maybe you could squeeze some reviews of things like thread lockers, penetrating oils, effects of heat, and others out of your terrific test rig as well.
You are all doing the lords work. It's great to know actual torque values before upgrading tools. Also can you do a video on the effectiveness of torque limiting sticks? I'm curious on the difference effectiveness between using them with a pneumatic impact vs a battery powered.
Your success may be a surprise to you, but it is not to your audience. I hope you guys keep making content, as you are one of the best channels out there (in any category). I fully expect that your subscribers will grow at am even faster pace in 2022.
Awesome tests. I actually bought a Rigid hi torque (#2 on your list) earlier this year. It's a very impressive tool to say the least! Thanks for doing these great videos.
This is the finest channel on RUclips. What would you recommend for a battery powered impact wrench to keep in a 3/4 ton truck? Lugnuts and jack use 99% of the time. Reliability most important. Thanks again for a great channel!
This channel is the best. I watch it all the time. I'm still trying to find the best 1/2 inch cordless impact for steering and suspension work. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Start some long term testing. Will the 3/4 inch Makita last as long as the Milwaukee one inch. Maybe place a bet? Top 3 impacts, 3 people, 3 RUclipsrs? Or something, first one to break has to use the one inch untill the other two brakes. Somehow figure out which one's going to last the longest? GoPro time lapse on your forehead?
I seen some used anvils, Makita anvils show very little wear and they also got far less issues with battery attachments on old tools. Otoh the 1in Milwaukee is very heavy built and should hold up to industrial abuse. Also, two Makita 3/4 cost the same or less as a single Milwaukee 1in. Then theres the battery ecosystem that shuld be suitable also for other tools you use, 40vMax is a huge advantage for saws and angle grinders, these factors are more important than a static torture test.
No surprise for the number 1 spot. I dont need one but i cant resist, will buy if in stock. Already got both 4ah and 2.5ah 40vMax batteries. Was missing the Fakeita from wish in the top 3, it deserves a video on its own maybe.
Lol I just bought the ridgid r86211b from Home Depot the other day. It was the last one they had and in my area the next closest one that showed in stock was over an hour away. Man does it put down some beans! I’m going to test how it holds up to daily use in a shop. Hope to see it stay up to par with Milwaukee in terms of reliability
I have the ir 1 inch cordless impact . It’s a beast but today I had to retire it. I’m returning it because the hammer seems to be stuck and is dangerous to use it wants to twist
Amaziing review & rank man....great result as well, well we"ll see next year improvement & battle for all those brands & cordless tool for more exciting review & test...have anice day for you guys.... 👍👍👍👍👍

Your comment about snapping socket adapters makes me ask the question... Where's the video of you guys busting socket adapters?! I would love to see a video where you're busting harbor freight bauer and Hercules, home Depot and Lowes DeWalt, Milwaukee, Wiha, husky and kobalt. I request that you break all of them and let us know the results.
Thank you for all the unbiased tests this year. I would really like to see the "real" Metabo Impacts on the dyno (SSW400 mid torque and SSW600 "high" torque). I think they make really nice feeling tools but their impacts have very low specs, eventhough in my opinion the 400 can easily compare to the Makita 18v.
