It happened to me about 20 years ago when I was on a boat with with a friend and his dad and brother. The feeling was exactly as Jim describes it. Sudden perfection, all around. The overwhelming sensation was that everything is connected - myself and the boat and the water and everything are all one. Very difficult to put into words. It was such a beautiful feeling I actually shed a tear. It only lasted several seconds but marked me forever. I only recently have come to understand the nature of my experience. Now I'm really eager to get back to that state. Life really isn't just a string of tragedies and pain leading to death. We really are more than we think we are, and bliss/love is our true nature.
