I am familiar with building up the layers of graphite slowly and using a light touch, as to not damage the paper, in order to get dark value. However i was wondering if you do the same? what is this technique you use for your darkest darks? thanks for replying :) , incredibly impressive work@@heonlim765
The pencil I use is Tombow's 2B pencil. To create the deepest black possible when using a 2B pencil, it is important to properly concentrate the force that the pencil applies to the paper. First, hold the pencil briefly. The second is to narrow the area to be painted at once. Third, use only the tip of the pencil to narrow the area where the pencil touches the paper. These methods help the graphite come out as thick as paper using less force.@@user-ef8ow1nz1o
your darkest darks always look so clean and matte, is it graphite powder? also what paper are you using? beautiful drawing xx!
Ahh Kent paper?
We use techniques trained over a long period of time to resolve dark areas. The paper used is Kent.@@user-ef8ow1nz1o

Thank you, thats very cool. So your darkest darks do not even go above 2B pencil? to put simply, you don't use for example a 4b?@@heonlim765
