- Todays video is a visual on route 474 which was rerouted to go via custom house and Prince regent on the 21st May. Tbh I’m not too happy with this change because it’s not that useful. I don’t get why TFL are changing all these routes just for Crossrail. A few isn’t that bad but so many unnecessary ones happened. Im going to miss the 474 going via Silvertown and Thames Barrier, that was my fave section on the 474 before. The visual itself came out alright and im quite pleased.
Route 474 travels through:
Canning Town, Keir Hardie Estate, Custom House, Prince Regent, Connought Bridge, London City Airport, North Woolwich, Gallions Reach Roundabout, Cyprus, Beckton Stn, East Ham Central Park, East Ham Stn, Manor Park Stn
Operated by: Stagecoach London
Garage: West Ham (WH)
Allocation: Enviro400MMCs and E400MMC Hybrids
PVR: 12 (day), 3 (night)
Length: 5 miles (8km)
Journey Time: 1hr 8mins
Frequency: 12-15 mins
24 Hour Service
Route 474 started operating on 1st May 1999 between Canning Town Hermit Road and East Beckton operated by Blue Triangle using MCW Metrobuses from Ferry Lane (FL). On 23rd October 1999 the route used East Lancs. On 17th December 2005 the route extended to Manor Park and diverted at Silvertown to double run at London city airport. On 29th June 2007 the route was included in the sale of Blue Triangle to Go Ahead. On 3rd November 2007 the route transferred to Silvertown (SI) and became 24hr service. On 7th November 2008 the route was rerouted to serve Beckton. On 30th April 2011 the route used to Scania Omnidekkas and brand new Wright Gemini 2 B9TLs introduced. In January 2016 the Scania OmniDekkas were replaced by Wright Gemini 1 B7TLs. On 1st October 2016 the route transferred to River Road (RR) and optare olympus N230UDs were introduced. In October 2017 the route converted to full Wright Gemini 1 and 2 operations. On 5th May 2018 the route passed to Stagecoach London from West Ham (WH) using ALX400s and Enviro400s which were replaced by brand new Enviro400MMCs in July 2018. On 21st May 2022 the route was rerouted via Keir Hardie Estate and Custom House

Great Visual! I dont get why they cant just terminate the route at canning town bus station but have to make an extra bus stand for the route, it just makes sense to terminate the route at the bus station.
Thanks! Ig the bus station is already full

@@RayRayBuses >:(
I prefer these 2016 buses than the 2018 mmc hybrids they seem slower and take more time initially setting off
between me and you, the old 474 routing was way better, at least it was quicker, coz I went from Manor Park all the way to Hermit Road Bus Stand, and it took 58 minutes
Word
