In this video I'll try on and review some of the craziest shoes and boots from Aliexpress to see if they are really worth it. This is a massive haul with 10 platform shoes and high heels, including thigh high boots as some of you requested... it's almost a part II of my Goth shoe collection with lots of alternative and crazy styles! 🖤
All shoes were gifted by ICEYZOEY (thank you!) and they're having a huge sale right now, so check them out before it ends if you wanna grab anything from their store!
Just for reference, my feet are 24.5 cm 9,645" and I got a US 8 for everything.

Starts are always difficult. Try to incorporate little details instead of going for a drastic change if you don't feel ok doing the latter 🖤🖤

The best thing about being Goth is how many subcultures there are within it! I’m a Goth but my style is very casual. Sweatshirts, leggings, hoodies etc. just all in black. Try bits and pieces and you’ll slowly get more comfortable with it :)
@@amberottersberg6762 I guess the best advice is---> Do not copy other people or outfits from other people! Find your own style! Start simple and add just a few little details, instead of adding stuff just to look "goth" but makes your look exaggerated and overloaded.
If you’re worried about belonging just practice resting b face. I swear no one bothers you.
The problem with AliExpress shoes is they‘re usually on glue and fall apart relatively easy. I know cause I bought them in the past. Also this „fur“ looks super thin to me, so those shoes probably will be too cold even in +3 degrees, like super mild winter 😅 But fashionwise they look super cool of course
I think it really depends, because I have one pair of Ali shoes that I use rather frequently and they're still like new, while I've had to retire a pair Demonias after a similar wear because they fell apart. Ali is just a marketplace with different sellers, factories, and quality standards, so I've come to conclusion that it's just a matter of luck. I'm gonna try to wear some of these whenever I get the chance to see what happens, although they're not exactly your every day kind of shoe, so it might take a while 😅
@@Vesmedinia i'd love to hear an update on these particular shoes in a year or so (or however long it takes for them to fall apart)
You can always glue them back together, even sew them some for reinforcement (waxed dental floss works great for this, might be hard to find it in black but you can always sharpie it later) or add screws. I did that to some new old stock military boots that were giving me trouble and that was the end of it.

All of them look really nice it's good you finally got them off of your wish list. I've noticed a lot of my friends don't like the boots without zippers on the sides.
They're more difficult to put on and take off, but they look so good.

I always try to be as objective as possible -most of my reviews are hauls/first impressions, so I can't really comment on how long something's gonna last- but I also try to filter the brands I collaborate with... If I sense that I'm not gonna be happy with their products, I simply move on to something else.

All of them look very good quality. Personally, I don’t like spike heels as they aren’t comfortable for me to wear and I like chunky heels better. I feel safer and usually more comfortable in chunky heels. It’s nice that you can wear spikes and they look very nice on you 🙂💜🦇
I almost always end up wearing platforms or very chunky heels when I go out, but for photos or special occasions nothing beats stilettos 🖤

I love these videos! Honestly buying shoes from Aliexpress is really a cheap way to get some really cool shoes (and clothes) and I love it. Most of the time they're also as cheap as you expect them to be but that's fine with me. 🖤

Cute! For sock boots/boots without zippers, fold them down, way easier to slide them off when part of it is already off and easy to slide back on after too.

omg im soo jelouse. im a guy who loves any thing punk/goth. i struggle when it comes to wearing what i like out cause im so shy and insecure. iv gotten comfortable wearing my platform boots out but anything that looks 2 much like high heel, im too scared. i feel like people will stare or shoot me down for it. and i love chunky heels
Guys in chunky heels look great! People will definitely stare, but that's their problem, not yours! I understand how you feel, though. I've been dressing like this all my life and I never really cared about other people's opinions, but I understand it can be too much sometimes 🖤

Chunky heels on guys is hot!
People will stare but that is inevitable. I cant explain to you how it feels to wear something that accentuates your beauty and lets you stand out in the crowd. I do hope that you can start wearing the things that you really want. You'd be surprised by how many compliments you get. Especially by people with more 'normal' or 'boring' styles. People love it!

Trying to go corporate goth but it’s hard to find sharp looks as opposed to softer frilly ones
If you wanna dress corporate goth, my advice is to look for black and somewhat "edgy" items in non-goth stores. I've bought several things that would fit that look from Morgan (aka Morgan de toi).

I LOVE all the boots/shoes you got and I absolutely LOVE Ali Express.
I haven't bought from them in about 2 years for various reasons, so I'm so curious about how the site now works for us in Europe with that awful dreaded added taxation and tolls.
I can't wear all those beautiful heels anymore, but I have lower platform types saved in my favourites, so I can still wear these beautiful boots and shoes. Well hopefully, let's see when I get them haha
I think I need to re-measure my foot. I thought I was a 26cm, and I'm definitely a 39 in Europe, but 26cm is a 42 on Ali...it doesn't compute....I have ordered a 10 in other long flat laced boots, and they are too big, but that leaves room for me to wear them with my thick socks in our cold winters.

If you're in the EU (like me) taxes are now added to the article prices and you pay them in advance, so there are no nasty surprises anymore!! At least that's how it works in Spain, but I believe it's the same for every other EU country. I'm really grateful for this because, unless I can prepay customs, I don't buy online anymore after a really bad experience where customs were 3x the price of the item.
You may want to check that measurement again, because usually a EU39 is around 25 cm, which would probably be a EU40 / US9 on most Ali stores.

Okay it sounds like Ali has sorted out their EU tax issues then. In the beginning it was all very confusing and shops/vendors were all doing different things to try help with the tax issue. I also prefer no nasty surprises upon my packages entering my country. I'm in Scandinavia so I think it will be the same for me as for you, because I'm guessing Ali treats all of the EU the same.

@5:29 i know adding a strip of leather down the back seam of the boot would, increase production value. though i think that the reinforcement is worth the price, and looks good. as seen on higher priced boot designs these seams are covers and sewn again.

Y'all know aliexpress is a community of small and average shops who sells their content ? It's not meant to be bad or replicas on everything, we can actually buy some really good things at every prices

@@gwaninc8631 it's a drop shipping site. The prices aren't as low as the quality in most cases.
some of it is just mass produced crap but there are definitely some more niche good quality finds on there. but for the most part all the popular items are synthetic materials that are not worth the price (yes, even at the low price. because you just wash the stuff once or twice and it'll fall apart) i've had some good luck in the past but that's after communicating with the sellers and asking for details and checking all the reviews (and making sure they're not bot reviews)

@3:19 i have noticed these boots do not have eyelets for the laces, only a hole punched into the "leather".
i saw this on their photos, and am pleased you could verify that they did not take this step in production of this one pair.

I love the last pair. It is so hard to find square toe shoes. I walk on grass and gravel a lot. And I find that square toe shoes help with the balance along with a well placed heel.

i find round toes are more attractive than square, or overly pointed toes.

to all the aspiring alternatives babes, your money is better spent on ali than demonias, especially if you’re on a budget. Id much rather have 50 buck shoes fall appart than ones that cost me 200, plus I have plenty of pairs that are super comfy and pretty good quality.
The truth is that any shoe or boot with a very high platform is doomed to die sooner rather than later, and it hurts less when you didn't spend a crazy amount of money on them. My only issue with some Ali listings is that they don't use photos of their products, but if you find a seller that has actual photos like this one, they're a great place to buy shoes from! I still haven't had time to use these ones enough to speak about their quality, but I've had good experiences with other Ali shoes I bought in the past!

I don't usually get clothes from Aliexpress because they only go down to a size S on most items and it's really hard to find things that fit me. I may have a thing or two, but I don't remember the store names... if I do I'll write it here!
