Lovely presentation and explanation of AI. Doesn't it fascinate you how AI was only released less than a year ago and it's already changing business directions and supercharging innovation?
Actually, AI was not released a year ago. We have had AI for ages. Certain generative AI products were released a year ago, which raised the awareness of such technology and it's capabilities.
@@richardjacobson5236 its Microsoft announcing the ChatGPT investment that triggered the recognition. OpenAI was launched in 2015. AI as tech has been around since 1960's and IBM was the first to invest in this tech back in the days. Neural Network was hard - and it started with Rule-Based Engine. Neural-Network toolkit was first introduced in MATHLAB in 1993 - another example.
Thanks for this great explanation. I have one query what about the environmental and climate impact of AI specifically arround compute cost on training and arround data storage etc
Finally a awesome, clear and compensable presentation even for foreigners. Extremely helpful background and series. I'm looking forward to listen Dario Gil in the future!
We hope that everything said is accurate but yes, we have simplified things a little in this introductory video. We'll get more in depth in future ones though, stay tuned!
Wowza! 1950's this was a great theory. We are now breathing life into this and it is real. This is a must watch video that anyone can understand. Thank you!
Back in 2008-2009, I had the chance to work with IBM Solutions Delivery in Thailand. It was a short but amazing experience, and I'm really proud to have been a part of the IBM family, even if just for a little while. My learning journey didn't stop there, though. I'm always picking up new things, especially from IBM Technology and Dr. Dario Gil's inspiring talks. Big shoutout to IBM AI Academy 🙏for keeping the knowledge flowing!
Amazing explanation. Compelling ideas. Complex made simple. Muchas gracias por tan tremendo video, me quedo con la manera de comunicar lo que es la inteligencia artificial y los LLM.
IBM used to loan mainframes to MIT and MIT created the Compatible Time Sharing System (CTSS) on them, but they had to go against IBM to do it. You can read about Compatible Time Sharing System on the Wikipedia where I edited most of it.
Fascinating introduction to the world of generative AI, this has piqued my interest, and I am eager to dive deeper and learn more about this innovative field.
"These informative RUclips videos are incredibly interesting! I truly enjoy learning from them, and I’m also trying to share similar information with my viewers on my own channel."
Assalamualaikum & Hello. I would like to share this precise & informative content with my friend circle so that I get my surroundings more supportive to deal with AI or Gen AI whenever or however we need that. Gratitude for this understandable content.
Great video on telling the world what AI is and what it's not. We all have a hand at the development of this great new tooland change of times when it comes to creativity and research.
Thank you Dario Summary The rise of generative AI presents both opportunities and challenges for businesses. This video explores the history and development of AI, particularly in relation to generative models. It highlights the importance of data in AI and the concept of large language models (LLMs). The transcript also emphasizes the broad applications of AI across various industries and the need for transparency, ethics, and control in AI implementation. Highlights 🌍 AI has the potential to transform various aspects of our lives and touch every industry. 💡 Data plays a crucial role in generative AI, and large language models are powerful representations of language derived from massive amounts of training data. 💼 AI can be applied to different languages and domains, including HR, customer service, cybersecurity, and code writing. 📚 The future of AI lies in democratization, transparency, and ethical implementation, empowering individuals and organizations to make informed decisions about AI usage. 🚀 Businesses need to protect their data, embrace transparency and trust, implement AI ethically, and take an active role in shaping their AI journey.
@IBMTechnology , Over time, individuals may gradually reduce their reliance on creative thinking and come to depend more on generative data. Future is very scary.
Appreciating the innovation and creativity of Generative AI.Generative AI continues to impress with its creative outputs, while SmythOS stands out for its comprehensive AI capabilities. #GenerativeAI #SmythOS #AIInnovation #TechAdvancement
This is so simplistic view of generative AI. Before making videos, you need to at least know what is happening. In 2018 alone more than 11600 articles were published on the topic, and you are still living in Turing times. This material is as old as history.
The real test of AI would be to write a 60k word novel that a human reader could not put down, and once finished, could not forget. But this would imply that the AI-- or even AGI-- can comprehend human ontology merely by studying its ink and blip traces. Iow, it would have answered Plato's cave parable with a Yes. I strongly disagree, and would urge you to try your very best AI on the above writing task. I don't think an AI could do it even in the next 100 years. You think it could? Well, go and publish that novel, and we'll see...
"AI is making waves on Facebook! I've seen how it's improving content recommendations and managing harmful posts. AI is definitely enhancing our scrolling experience."
I am a former IBMer and now I am educator, I will use this video in my applied Deep learning class, Muchas gracias Dario!
