Interesting video! I use synthetic flats made through photoshop if I ever need to. Takes a little bit of work but it works really well if actual flats aren't possible. And APP's vignetting removal tool is also really good. Astroflat sounds interesting. Think I'll give the trial a shot on some of my older images that I know don't have associated flats. Clear Skies!
Very interesting. Was wondering it you plan on a how to use astroflat pro in the near future? I use pixinsight. Do you need photoshop in order to use astroflat pro?
I have been using AstroFlat Pro for about 2 years now. I couldn't agree with you more. Luckily I live in a bortle 3 area but am still too lazy for flats . ;-) I really like the control too. I often copy a layer, do the adjustment and then check the select flat only box. I can then subtract the frame with varying degrees of transparency. This helps a lot for getting fine adjustments to the effect.
This was really interesting. Great info, brother.

Interesting technique, I’ll have to try it!
