Hi sir! Good to have you here. Good question as well. May mga doctors po during medical test na hindi tinatanong kung may Primary Complex ka or wala. Pero may health questionaire din po tayong sasagutan where we have to declare our health history. Since ang PC is somehow an early form of TB among kids, nasa sayo na po sir ang call if idideclare mo sya. 😇

Hello sir Rainer! Tama po na required na may teaching experience ang applicant. Teaching experience can be from actual classroom (teacher employed) or from any English learning tutorial centers, regular online English tutoring job. Marami pong nakoconfuse sa requirement na yan. Akala kasi ng karamihan, teaching job is only for classroom teachers. HOWEVER, medjo strict na po ang agency ngayon. Mas priority na nila mga English Teachers (na graduate ng English studies) na may English teaching experience sa classroom. But then again, marami naman silang hinahire na non-English, non-teaching degree holders na applicants.

Sir, tanong ko lang po kung halimbawa currently nagtuturo na ako dito sa Public school dito sa Pinas is it possible na makapag apply ako na hindi muna nagreresign. Like, mag reresign na sana kung sigurado ng makakapasok?
Hello sir Lito. It's nice to have you here. Short answer is Yes po. Smart move na mag-apply kana habang nasa DepEd ka pa. I strongly suggest sir na mag-resign ka lang when you receive the "Offer Letter" from Interac. Manggagaling po yun dito mismo sa Company in Japan. Though it's not the safest stage yet to say na tuloy na tuloy kana sa Japan pero assurance na kasi yun na mai-employ kana. However, may mga cases po na hindi agad nakakarating ng Japan si Applicant kahit may Offer Letter of Employment na. Reasons that may delay your flight would be 1. your medical test results which may be released before or after you receive your offer letter 2. immigration assessment 3. swab results 4. and other unforeseen circumstances If I were you sir, apply ka po ng Leave of Absence (need po kasi ng time to secure the needed documents asap at need mo din ng physical appearance during the stages ng application) then submit ka ng resignation kapag 100% sure ka nang lilipad ka na. I feel you po, mahirap na mawalan ng work ngayon so dapat manigurado.
May timeline po na sinusunod ang application process. Likewise, may time validity din po ang mga documents. May mga documents na good for 3 months lang, may 6 months meron din mga docs na valid lang for 31 days. Therefore, act only when told to do so.

Hello ma'am ReYeah! Thank you po sa compliment. Pasensya na now lang po makakareply sa mga comments hehe. About po sa question 1, basically it's when you receive your employment letter. The moment you accept the offer, may assurance na po that the company is going to find you a placement/assignment. However, xahirap pa din po pakampante hanging hindi ka nakakalipad for Japan. hehe Re your 2nd question, Chesham is a recruitment agency based in the PH po. They only recruit PH-based ALT candidates to get hired and work for Interac (company) as an ALT. Eikaiwa po are private English Conversation schools/centers. To get hired in an Eikaiwa, in the mot common manner of getting hired, you must be physically present in Japan. Hindi po nags-supply ng ALT ang Chesham for Eikaiwa schools, to my knowledge po. Feel free to ask anything po. Will get back to it as soon as I get the chance po. Regards.

Sir ask ko lng may choice ka ba kung sang prefecture ka na assign sa japan? How many years valid yung working visa? Ok lng ba kahit di ako educ major/ walang prc license? Thanks po
Hi Ms. Tee! Thanks sa mga tanong. 1. company po magbibigay ng placement kung saan sa Japan ka made-designate. Pero, may consideration naman lalo na kapag may available position or slot sa prefecture na gusto mong puntahan. Prior departure, may survey na sasagutan na kung saan ide-declare mo dun kung saang prefecture mo prefer mag-work. 2. 1 year po ang validity ng visa pero renewable naman sya. U can stay and work for the company as long as you want. provided that you don’t get deported by disobeying company policies po 😊 3. I’m not particularly sure if they accept non-English Major applicants. However, marami naman pong pinoy dito na HINDI teachers sa pinas pero nagwowork sa company. Give it a try po. I am a fresh BOARD PASSER of LET here in the Philippines, I am an ENGLISH MAJOR without a formal Experience working in any school yet . But I did a lot of short term informal job after graduating like : Being a Research adviser, I also did tutorial for korean students in a private school but I did not get certificate from them. Hi sir Michael. Happy to have you here. Good points 1st po muna which will qualify you to be an ALT in Japan under my company: a. You are a licensed English Teacher b. You have taught English to non-native students like Koreans These two will qualify you. However... Chesham (Agency) has a list of requirements and qualifications like: a. You must have an English teaching experience for at least a year b. You must be employed prior your departure c. You should have copies of work history like certifications to support your teaching experience. Need po kasi ung mga documents for assessment. May friendly suggestion sir is to keep a tutorial class (offline or online) na nagtiteach ka ng English. Considered un. Need mo lang na may maipakitang proof na currently teaching ka ng English to get assessed sir. Goodluck. 😇

Naghanap na po ba kayo nung nasa pinas pa kayo, naghanap po ba kayo nung nakalapag na po kayo sa japan, or pinrovide na po yun ng company na naghire po sainyo? And paano po ang living sa japan? Pero if want mo po makatipid sir at mas maka-save, hanap ka po agad ng apartment 6 months after para wala ka pong penalty sa apartment na ipo-provide ng company sayo. Good move po un. Pinaubaya ko na lahat sa company noon kasi wala ako idea sa apartment dito nung nasa pinas pa ko. So, if ayaw mo po ng hassle, let the company make the arrangements na lang po. Then 6 months after mag-hanap ka na po ng lilipatan para mas malaki ma-save 🥳
pwede po living together pero depende po sa landlord if payag sila. Samin po allowed naman. lumipat na ko, 3 kami sa apartment and anlaki po ng difference sa rental fee, utilities compared kung solo ka sa napakamahal (tapos anliit pa) na apartment 😅

Hi Sir Raymond! Never pa po ako nakakita or may nabasa about sa colorblindness as standard to getting hired. You’ll be teaching colors with ES kids pero shallow level lang un and primary to secondary colors lang naman. I dont think it wud be a huge problem po
Another, sa driving exam po cguro ang possible na magkaron ng problem. Pero nagha-hire naman ang company ng non-driving ALTs. With regard to ur eye condition sir, depending on the extent, colorblindness degree, just give it a try po sir. 🥳
Safer bro if either original or certified copies ang dala mo. Sa experience ko, I submitted 2 orig copies sa Chesham (hindi na nila ibinalik sakin yun) then yung 3rd set of copies dinala ko dito sa Japan for future purposes. To anawer your question, if kaya mong kumuha ng certified or orig copies un na lang. Meticulous sila dito sa documents.

Hello po. Depende po sa hiring company yan. Sa Interac, our company, in recent years, they prioritize English teachers. Pero may mga Filipino ALTs naman dito na hindi English teachers. Depende po siguro sa qualifications ng applicants, demand ng company and sa company itself. JET is another company din po. Kaya lang, wala akong masyadong idea about sa JET. Hi Ace! It depends on the agency. My agency in the PH requires atleast 1 year teaching experience to qualify. Other agencies don’t require it. To answer your question re importance, it’s a YES. Having a teaching background is an advangtage especially when you start working with the schools. Though, you can still apply naman even without having the teaching experience. Just give it a try, I’d suggest. 😊

Hi ma'am Julie. Possibly po. Being an ALT is the easiest way to enter Japan, for most. Then pwede ka pong maging permanent-resident dito if willing ka i-workout yung ganung plan.

Pero may health questionaire din po tayong sasagutan where we have to declare our health history. Since ang PC is somehow an early form of TB among kids, nasa sayo na po sir ang call if idideclare mo sya. 😇

Tama po na required na may teaching experience ang applicant. Teaching experience can be from actual classroom (teacher employed) or from any English learning tutorial centers, regular online English tutoring job.
Marami pong nakoconfuse sa requirement na yan. Akala kasi ng karamihan, teaching job is only for classroom teachers.
HOWEVER, medjo strict na po ang agency ngayon. Mas priority na nila mga English Teachers (na graduate ng English studies) na may English teaching experience sa classroom.
But then again, marami naman silang hinahire na non-English, non-teaching degree holders na applicants.

Short answer is Yes po. Smart move na mag-apply kana habang nasa DepEd ka pa.
I strongly suggest sir na mag-resign ka lang when you receive the "Offer Letter" from Interac. Manggagaling po yun dito mismo sa Company in Japan. Though it's not the safest stage yet to say na tuloy na tuloy kana sa Japan pero assurance na kasi yun na mai-employ kana.
However, may mga cases po na hindi agad nakakarating ng Japan si Applicant kahit may Offer Letter of Employment na.
Reasons that may delay your flight would be
1. your medical test results which may be released before or after you receive your offer letter
2. immigration assessment
3. swab results
4. and other unforeseen circumstances
If I were you sir, apply ka po ng Leave of Absence (need po kasi ng time to secure the needed documents asap at need mo din ng physical appearance during the stages ng application) then submit ka ng resignation kapag 100% sure ka nang lilipad ka na.
I feel you po, mahirap na mawalan ng work ngayon so dapat manigurado.
How about magpa medical na po ako before applying? Para atleast sigurado na po ung medical ko. 😅
May timeline po na sinusunod ang application process.
Likewise, may time validity din po ang mga documents.
May mga documents na good for 3 months lang, may 6 months meron din mga docs na valid lang for 31 days.
Therefore, act only when told to do so.

About po sa question 1, basically it's when you receive your employment letter. The moment you accept the offer, may assurance na po that the company is going to find you a placement/assignment. However, xahirap pa din po pakampante hanging hindi ka nakakalipad for Japan. hehe
Re your 2nd question, Chesham is a recruitment agency based in the PH po. They only recruit PH-based ALT candidates to get hired and work for Interac (company) as an ALT.
Eikaiwa po are private English Conversation schools/centers. To get hired in an Eikaiwa, in the mot common manner of getting hired, you must be physically present in Japan. Hindi po nags-supply ng ALT ang Chesham for Eikaiwa schools, to my knowledge po.

1. company po magbibigay ng placement kung saan sa Japan ka made-designate. Pero, may consideration naman lalo na kapag may available position or slot sa prefecture na gusto mong puntahan. Prior departure, may survey na sasagutan na kung saan ide-declare mo dun kung saang prefecture mo prefer mag-work.
2. 1 year po ang validity ng visa pero renewable naman sya. U can stay and work for the company as long as you want. provided that you don’t get deported by disobeying company policies po 😊
3. I’m not particularly sure if they accept non-English Major applicants. However, marami naman pong pinoy dito na HINDI teachers sa pinas pero nagwowork sa company.

Good points 1st po muna which will qualify you to be an ALT in Japan under my company:
a. You are a licensed English Teacher
b. You have taught English to non-native students like Koreans
These two will qualify you. However...
Chesham (Agency) has a list of requirements and qualifications like:
a. You must have an English teaching experience for at least a year
b. You must be employed prior your departure
c. You should have copies of work history like certifications to support your teaching experience. Need po kasi ung mga documents for assessment.
May friendly suggestion sir is to keep a tutorial class (offline or online) na nagtiteach ka ng English. Considered un.
Need mo lang na may maipakitang proof na currently teaching ka ng English to get assessed sir. Goodluck. 😇

Pero if want mo po makatipid sir at mas maka-save, hanap ka po agad ng apartment 6 months after para wala ka pong penalty sa apartment na ipo-provide ng company sayo. Good move po un. Pinaubaya ko na lahat sa company noon kasi wala ako idea sa apartment dito nung nasa pinas pa ko. So, if ayaw mo po ng hassle, let the company make the arrangements na lang po. Then 6 months after mag-hanap ka na po ng lilipatan para mas malaki ma-save 🥳
pwede po living together pero depende po sa landlord if payag sila. Samin po allowed naman. lumipat na ko, 3 kami sa apartment and anlaki po ng difference sa rental fee, utilities compared kung solo ka sa napakamahal (tapos anliit pa) na apartment 😅

Hi Sir Raymond! Never pa po ako nakakita or may nabasa about sa colorblindness as standard to getting hired. You’ll be teaching colors with ES kids pero shallow level lang un and primary to secondary colors lang naman. I dont think it wud be a huge problem po
Another, sa driving exam po cguro ang possible na magkaron ng problem. Pero nagha-hire naman ang company ng non-driving ALTs. With regard to ur eye condition sir, depending on the extent, colorblindness degree, just give it a try po sir. 🥳

It depends on the agency.
My agency in the PH requires atleast 1 year teaching experience to qualify. Other agencies don’t require it.
To answer your question re importance, it’s a YES. Having a teaching background is an advangtage especially when you start working with the schools. Though, you can still apply naman even without having the teaching experience.
Just give it a try, I’d suggest. 😊
