Today we made and ate 15 of the simplest peanut butter sandwich recipes around to determine which ingredient pairs BEST with peanut butter and bread!
Strap in as we make our way through the classics like the PB&J and Fluffernutter as well as a few new spins on the peanut butter sandwich and tier list each creation as we make our way through the taste test!

Q: How do you not gain weight?
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these videos. The calories consumed in a food challenge or mukbang are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off-putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a video but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our participation in endurance activities and said discipline with our daily diets.

A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, this is not a health and fitness channel and we intend to primarily focus on indulgent food entertainment. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within this genre and we’re constantly experimenting and trying to improve upon our style to make our channel a unique experience. Food is our passion while fitness is our discipline so, while we currently only have the availability to produce one quality piece of content a week, fun food-centered videos is where we’ll be focusing our attention (and trust us, it’s more fun for all of us this way). That’s not to say it will never happen, but it’s not a top priority for us.

I used to always put chips on my peanut butter or pbj sandwiches, I went through a pb and pickle sandwich phase, and peanut butter on a burger with some bacon and pickle is pretty amazing.
An amazing pairing is dill pickle slices on peanut butter. Don’t gag till you’ve tried it!

My favourite is actually banana, honey and peanut butter - the banana gives a little fresh kick and tastes so well with the sweetness of the honey!

As a massive peanut butter lover, I have to agree that Honey & peanutbutter is an amazing pairing😋 I also grew up with having strawberry jam and peanutbutter as my go to peanut butter and jam sandwiches, simply because we don't really have grape jelly(jam) here. Mized berries is also another great jam to pair with it!😄 I'm so surprised that peanut butter and banana wasn't that high up your list, it's soooo good and extremely comforting ☺ It would be really cool to see what combos you both would make if you could put more than one other ingredient because another one of my go to's was always a peanutbutter, strawberry jam and banana sandwich 👍 Looking forward to next Tuesdays upload !!!🥜

Ok, when you are ready for more combos: pb banana and honey. Pb banana honey and bacon. Chocolate pb cherry jam and some shredded coconut. When I worked in a cafe years ago we had a pb, banana, honey and a sprinkle of granola sandwich and it was delicious. I’m surprised you didn’t try the pb and pickle sandwich or pb with potato chips crushed up inside. There is a restaurant near me that makes a deep fried pbj sandwich.

Men…thank you. Just, thank you. I will confess, I was beginning to tune out with the almonds and cream cheese videos…but in true Dumb N Dumber fashion, “YOU TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELVES!” The PB sandwiches video is now on my saved videos list! If you’re curious, JIF used to make a PB/honey mashup, but then it was discontinued. They make it in “Natural” form still, but it’s hard to find in the Midwest. OMG just in time before Passover!!! So excited to see another new video from you! Especially about peanut butter! I love how detailed you are in your analyses and your unique creations (particularly the cookie dough!). The marshmallow fluff one is probably my all-time favorite. When I went to sleepaway camp, they had alternative options every day with a vat of chocolate pudding and peanut butter and I would just mix the two together :) :) lol.

If you two ever decide to retry more peanut butter sandwich ideas, you have got to try PB and ganache! 😄 My grandma also swears by PB and raw onions, but I personally would go with caramelized onions instead (and maybe even grill the whole dang sandwich and add some cheese). Grilling any kind of PB sandwiches with butter like you would a grilled cheese really elevates the whole sandwich experience for me, personally. I used to make PB & banana sandwiches grilled with chocolate chips, so that the chocolate would melt into it and you get these little pockets of gooey chocolatiness, and those things were fricken superb! 😍 I also made and enjoyed many a grilled PB & nutella sandwich when I was younger, and guys, it is waaaay superior texturally and flavorwise to the plain old soft bread sandwich version. Even just toasting your bread and having a PB & J or PB & honey on toasted bread can be oddly satisfying, and keep your sandwiches from getting too soggy if you don't eat them right away. Anyway, loved the vid and hope you try out some more fun sandwich ideas! :) If you only tried one, grilled PB & banana with chocolate chips is an easy comfort food masterpiece that I highly recommend! Everyone I ever made them for loved them and raved about how good they were.
The habanero mango jelly and peanut butter sandwiches are pretty good if you don't mind a little spice.
Absolutely love the Pb&J videos!!! the pb and j creation video is one of my favorite to date! you guys gotta try this one - PB&J with uncrustables as the bread. So two uncrustables sandwiching together peanut butter and jelly. Im sure you guys could make a crazier creation but thats the best PB&J I have ever done

I had very little grape PB and J sandwiches as a kid. My dad always stocked preserves too so strawberry and raspberry (raspberry was sometimes homemade). But Honey and PB is such a great combo. I think when you add honey to the banana PB sandwich it heightens it and takes it to another level. I still find just banana and PB drying together, just one big upper roof clump.
I used to just sit with honey and peanut butter and spoon both into my mouth, love it.

honestly the best pb and bread combo is pb toast - toast the bread, spread on pb and pour maple syrup (bonus points if the syrup is warm). soooo good!

I don't know if you have spread butter on your sandwich? In Sweden it is a must when doing a simple nutella sandwich or peanut butter sandwich, those two spreads are so "dry" the butter makes the best "break". And I love the combo; Butter, Peanut butter and Nutella. Soooo freaking good!

I’m British and love peanut butter and blackcurrant jam, but I know that is not a very well known flavour in North America. This was a really different concept for a video that I enjoyed tremendously ❤

Awww man PB and Honey! My mom packed a PB&H sammich in my school lunch at least once a week when I was a kid. On those days the copious amount of honey soaked through the bread, but I didn't care; I loved it like that! Lunch always had a bag of chips or chex mix, and dessert was usually a Little Debbie oatmeal creme pie or zebra cake, or sometimes fig newtons (which I loved and still love... don't judge me)

I just had my first fluffernutter sandwich had no idea of it’s existence until this channel.. I will never go back to only peanut butter on bread and will probably choose it over any jelly in the future!

Strangely as a Brit I really enjoy peanut butter with grape 🍇 jelly. It costs a fortune to get the good proper American Peanut Butter and Welch’s Grape Jelly here though - but totally worth it. I like it with banana but hot - as a toasted sandwich. After how nice you said it was I’m going to try with bacon 🥓 now! As always much love ❤️

Crunchy pb, strawberry preserves on potato bread was my go to!!! I will agree that honey and pb is amazing!!! Pb and fluff on a graham cracker… so good!!! Pb and thinly sliced apple sandwiches (with or without a sprinkle of cinnamon) also great!!! So many things go with pb!!!

I grew up with strawberry, but now as an adult, I lean toward multi berry or blueberry because strawberry is too sweet. I've never had fluffernutter either. In fact, never had marshmallow fluff. We didn't around here, at least unless my friends were having it when I was not around lol. Definitely had pb and honey toast and sandwiches growing up.

I had done peanuts butter with spreading butter on the sandwiches. Sometimes I’ll put honey with it too.
Did it with vegemite sometime, solid B tbh.

My go to peanut butter sandiwch is butter, peanut butter, fluff, nutella and bananas. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy when he sees me eat it. Such a good sandwich.

Nice! We don’t often do challenges anymore as they are very demanding on the mind and body which is difficult to work in with our current schedules/lifestyles.
We wanted to do an Easter video but fell behind with our schedules and our vids take like 40 hours to edit so we definitely won’t get to one this year unfortunately 😅

Alt: biscoff cookie (spekulos) spread + marshmallow fluff
I called it from the start! All others are good until you get hit with a little acidity from the jelly and realize the greatness of the combo of PB and J! A close second for me is pancake syrup 👍🏼
