Today we’re pitting modern, over the top renditions of classic desserts against the tried and true traditional versions and determining which we believe to be the superior items!
Whether it be for a cheat day, food challenge, mukbang or brand battle, we’ve consumed an unthinkable amount of calories worth of sweet treats over the years but we’ve yet to answer the question of whether we prefer the simplicity of the classics or the extreme modern takes…until today!

As for those modern cookies, I have t0 question when the boundary was crossed between being cookie and pile of cooked dough! Those were some huwage piles of cookie dough right there! Looked good, but I think for me, if I were to crave a cookie, I’d want the classic - but I’m flying blind here 😂

The OREOH! and 7 min. in heaven cookies from BB Cakes Bakery looked so amazing! (And I have to admit - the reese's half pounders look so so good. When I went to camp they had chocolate pudding and peanut butter as alternatives to the main meal and we would combine the two to make reese's lol)l. These comparison videos are so unique and creative. Even happier this video didn't require you to run around in the rain or stay up until all hours of the morning. (But thanks for trying Dill Pickle ice cream for us!)

I agree with you both on the Lindor Truffles. Tried the Snickerdoodle and the Tres Leches and wasn't really wowed by either. Classic milk chocolate or sea salt are my favorites by far!

The best thing about a Takedown Twins review/challenge hybrid is you know they have the stamina, the capacity, and the sheer sugar tolerance needed to give every item a fair chance, and not get sick of the sweetness and the richness after the first few.

Hahaha I also recently tried those wacky Van Leeuwen flavors and enjoyed them too. I broke out the jar of PB to have with the pickle flavor (pickles & PB, right?!) and it was a weird but good combo! I will absolutely be re-buying the mac & cheese pint to try with apple pie - thanks for the suggestion!
