    Just a tip... on the left hand side of the spit fork there is a round collar which sits on the left side of the Cadac to enable the spit to rotate freely and not on the squared edges of the spit... good cook chickens look good

    I ordered two extra spit forks and balance weight set from Amazon for $20, somewhat easier set up, can space chickens apart.

    Try popping a potato in each chicken to take up the cavity of the bird. Makes it more stable...I inject some white wine into the chicken the night before..the wine that oozes out over night, use as a basting and paint on during cooking..delicious..

    You can also add a tray of pre boiled potatoes under the chicken..awesome roasted spuds...let that oil drip on the spuds..mmmmm

    hi guys great job looks tasty. think doing 2 good idea. on mine fill caverty with lemon lime slices or onion bay leaf or thyme. also sometimes empty thin can (red bull) half fill with beer (bud) then insert as it cooks steams it keep safe lol andy

    shorter cooking time if you cook more towards the 180 t0 200 in one and a half hr you should have a inside temp at the deepest part of the bird of 170 to 180c to be sure the bird is cooked. try a beer can chicken next time you wont go back to doing a normal chicken again.
