    Thanks a lot. Love from Bangladesh.

    Hi. It has a Bridge mode. I'm currently using this router (though V9 not V6 as shown in the video) as a repeater via WDS/Wireless Bridging from the mother router provided my ISP.
    Normally, there are 13 clients connected. Mostly laptops and phones and some tablets. As of 1 month of use, no issues that I have encountered.

    • @geekyranjit
      @geekyranjit  10 лет назад +2

      Yes the WiFi range is pretty good and it's also very stable, coz I have tested a lot of high end routers costing around 4x-8x the price compared to this tp-link model and it performance is as good as them and in some cases better than some high end routers, hence I rated them best for the budget price you can get them.

      Is it a dual band router?

    • @geekyranjit
      @geekyranjit  10 лет назад +2

      No Sourav Kumar RoyChowdhury it's a single band 2.4 Ghz wifi router, dual-band routers are pretty expensive entry level dual-band routers start from Rs 4K and decent one with gigabit Ethernet go above Rs 6-7K

    • @SouravKumarRoyChowdhury
      @SouravKumarRoyChowdhury 10 лет назад

      My bad, didn't looked at the video. It is a n only router. But I never understood the utility of a single band router with 2 antennas. Theoretically they say it is 150+150=300mbps. But how? How does my computer knows there are more than 1 antenna? Does they transmit on different channels on the same band? Or the router decides that which antenna will communicate with which device for ensuring optimal throughput. Any idea?

    • @geekyranjit
      @geekyranjit  10 лет назад +3

      Sourav Kumar RoyChowdhury Not all laptops have 2 antennas support i.e 150 Mbps + 150 Mbps 300 Mbps on 2.4 Ghz but some do, also to take advantage of 300 Mbps they use 40 Mhz instead of 20 Mhz that is with N150 but it's not like N150 devices wont function correctly with N300 routers as the router will automatically switch to 20 Mhz band, in-fact WiFi range on N300 devices is slightly better than N150 devices.

    This video inspired me to go for TP-Link TL-WR841N, However for the sake of everyone I would like to tell you that the SIgnal(range) of this router is very WEAK indoors at home.
    The signal dies out after passing two walls so If you have a 3 BHK this will not be of any use. It does not work for my HOME so i m not sure about the zones Ranjit has and talks about. May be the ZONES Ranjit is talking about are separated by THIN WALLs or GLASS not those Brick Walls that we have. I'm researching on this and will let you guys know if/as feasible for me; what would be an ideal home budget router which Works for all rooms of your apartments. Please like my comment those who feel the same.

    Tldr; For people who want to buy this in 2022, if ISP speed less than 90 Mbps, go for it. Great for price today.
    I bought this in Jan 2022, because my ISP speed is 50 Mbps + It gave decent range in 2bhk house. The speeds were around 20-25 Mbps in corners of house.
    It's a good router, gives consistent speeds, no down time yet, can easily connect upto 5 devices. Haven't tried more than that. Don't buy dual band for ISP speeds under 90 Mbps.

    Hi Ranjit. Would you be able to do a comparison of the TP-Link TL-WR841N, D-Link DIR-605L Wireless N300 Cloud Router and the Netgear WNR2000 N300 or suggest which one would be the better option as the prices are more or less the same.
    Im veering towards buying the Netgear WNR2000 as I've read that it has better range and can be used as a repeater but would still like to know your views.

    Thanks for the review sir now i get a bunch of knowledge regarding Tp link wifi routers. I have a TP LINK WR740N and by your review i am thinking to upgrade my wifi router to this one. Really a great review but i am surprised that in Flipkart many users have a negative comments on this router which made me think to upgrade or not. But sir i trust on your reviews so i am planning to buy this router soon. Thanks again Your True review. A humble request from my side is that in future if you can do a budget wifi routers review it will be appreciated sir.

      This is a budget router LekhRaj87 cost just around Rs 1,600 many of the other routers that I am reviewing are high end routers that are costing above Rs 10K, for example the Asus router that I am currently testing right now AC68U is Rs 19K so this tp-link router is a budget router but with exceptional performance & good WiFi range coz check my router playlist it's in RUclips show notes and I have tested a lot of routers from budget to high-end routers so I know what I am talking and though this tp-link is a affordable budget router it does perform very well and is as good as some of the mid-range wifi routers.

      Thanks Ranjit sir for your reply and sir i have seen your Asus wifi router review too. But i find more high end Wifi routers review on your channel, so sir as you know many people are belongs to Middle class, the budget Wifi routers will be their first preference. So sir if you can do a 1 Budget Wifi router review every 2 or 3 months it will be good for most of us. Sir i enjoy your Wifi routers videos more than Mobile Phones review. Thanks sir for this video and keep making us happy and positive by your upcoming videos. :)

    Hi Ranjit, Thanks for the awesome reviews, I am in process of buying a new wifi router after my research i am confused which one to buy, the two options that i have listed is TP-Link TL-WR841N and D‑Link DIR‑605L, My requirement is better coverage for 1200 sqft area (Includes walls and doors) advance features.Also i use Tikona connection for which i have to log in everytime to connect so are these routers smart enough to remember the log in credentials or is there a way to fix it.

    Really confused between these 3 products :-
    1.) Iball Baton Ib-wrx300np 300m
    Wireless-n Router.
    2.) TP-Link 300 Mbps Wireless N
    Router (TL-WR841N).
    3.) D-Link Wireless N 300 Router
    (DIR-615).
    As I am living in a 4 bhk flat which is approx. 3000 sq. ft., I want to get the wifi signals in every corner of my house, can you please suggest me which is the best wifi router among these so that I can buy it?
    My main purpose is to solve the coverage area problem.
