It is all about the timing at that beach. According to our friends there is limited time to hit the cut and then it is gone. But the views are the real treasure.

HI Christine & Bill in Oregon, You could tell you are on vacation so relaxed even with cold feet Toes. Nice hunt great beach but it did not want to give any real treasures but it did not matter what you found. It was the positive spirit it was done in. Now you cans say you were detecting at Cannon Beach Oregon. Thanks for sharing looking forward to the next at home turf.👍👍👍

When you find a crematorium tag most guys throw them back in the ocean so it stays with the remains that were scattered.
Yeah... we showed it in the wrap up but it found it's way back to the ocean. We do not want it...lol

He was at the room but he really did way better than expected on the trip. However, he did not like the beach. We stopped and let him explore and he said he had enough so that was a short stop....

Thanks.... the drive along the Oregon coast is amazing. We wish we could have stopped more but not with Buddy. It was actually too hot during the day so we could not leave him alone in the truck.

Good morning guys, hey you should google the history of cannon beach. If I remember correctly there was a ship wreck in the old days and a cannon was recovered, then many years later in modern times a young girl walking on the beach with her family found another cannon that was from that ship and it is now in a museum there ! Pretty cool ! Wow that is a beautiful beach, I miss the Oregon Coast ! Too bad you cant hit Brookings ! Thanks for the hunt ! G
Yes. Ronnie and Tiffany have hunted there for years. They have found stuff from the ship wreck. They have found enough from the 1800's that they had a display in the local museum. Pretty cool. We could not do any hunting on the road because we took buddy and he could not stay in the truck alone and he was not a fan of the beach. We took him to the sand one time and he wanted nothing to do with it...lol
I had much better luck in the dry sand. The best part was the clam chowder at Pelican Brewing.

I have been charged with distributing my friend’s ashes and learned it’s against Federal law to spread the ashes on the beach and must be spread three nautical miles offshore.
The tag might have drifted in, or someone didn’t know.
I am not sure about the laws but very interesting find for sure. I just grabbed it and tossed it to Christine assuming it was a dog tag. Nope...lol
The crematorium tag should go back in the water where it was meant to stay..
Sounds good. It was kinda sad to find it. I did not think that people throw the tag in the water along with the ashes but I am not familiar with how that works.

Beautiful scenery on that high rock or boulder, whatever you call it. Looks like cold weather as we have in the North East. Glad Christine made the hunt and brings back a pet rock for her friend. Nice trip and Bill go warm up your feet
That had to be the coldest water I have hunted in...The rock is pretty famous. It has been in movies and the only one that comes to mind right now is the "Goonies". Was a lot of fun for sure

Yes. I shot that with the gopro handle extended and shot it upside down so I could get really low footage. Turned out really nice.

We are doing a two part vacation. Road trip to see her mom in Oregon and we are going to have some down time so Christine can really relax. Hard to get fully chill on the road. We may do a second short trip. She has enough time off.

Ronnie and Tiff said they have been super busy there... According to them most of the finds will be in the cut (water) we hunted in. They did find a nice line of coins and Tiffany even found a ring.
