  • Reneilwe Morema reports on the corruption caused by tender systems awarded to incompetent individuals like Edwin Sodi, who squandered over R300 Miliion worth of tender contracts which was meant to fix a water plant in Hamanskraal and leaking sewages in Free State amongst other projects. The failure to deliver these services in these provinces caused a cholera outbreak leaving more than 30 people dead.

I see why Phil hired this young lady. She is passionate & brings the receipts. Brilliant commentary.

This is so despicable! I hope the citizens of SA handle this matter swiftly. And please stop using the western world aka DAMerica's "democratic " approach to the continent. IT DOESN'T WORK! ✌🏾 ❤ ✊🏾

Regulations would control corruption, not end it,not even prison time would stop it, it's built into every system that uses the Western economic and capitalist blueprint, like in America we take to the streets and demand basic services, water and sewage treatment and trash pick up.This is a very layered and nausance conversation.

The saddest thing is that they're given these tenders and they do a shoddy job or none at all.

I’m so tired of the selfishness in our community. Teach character in your home better!
Don’t no riches provide enough satisfaction and purpose.
I am you. The success of you, is the success of me.
If I watch my brother or sister be discriminated, that same discrimination is for me and my children.
We wouldn’t hate upon our children to gain what we hadn’t- would we?!

I disagree...The tender system is used just about everywhere and in every country...The system is meant to provide equitable means for everyone to compete for work, etc. The alternative will be for people to be handpicked for certain work, projects, etc...That alone just give a carte blanche to those in position of power to engage favouritism and patronage...That to me is leads to more corruption than the tender system...Put any system in place and someone will always find a way to corrupt it
