Hi AdventureX. Tnx for the video. I'm a local, so this info is useful.
Just an FYI, I'm not sure this is anything to do with your end: Your playback video quality was not great at my end (all your vid's). My youtube resolution settings were 'auto', but I've just noticed the playback defaulted to 720p60HD (on your channel). I changed that to 1080p60, and it's a lot better.
So, what resolution are you recording in, and what resolution are you uploading to youtube?

Hi David thanks for the feedback.
I'm currently playing with resolutions and exports from my editing software. I noticed YT was encoding my vids in avc1, producing a poor compression when uploaded. I've tried a couple of tricks to have YT encode in the superior, cleaner, vp9 codec. This series is the first time I've tried that and it appears to have worked. Because I'm a small chanel I'm not eligible by default for vp9 without meeting certain media criteria. One of those criteria is to upload in 4k. The original footage from my GoPro session is 1080 but to get the best qual on YT I'm exporting in 4k. This does make the video look like the actual footage, when viewed at 4k. I'd prefer to output in MP4 but my current software only exports 4k in AVC, which produces more artifacting. I've just upgraded my PC to handle content better but currently the camera and software are limiting my options. I really need a camera that shoots 4k 60fps and new software, it's currently a trade off for me between enjoying creating the content and splashing out an additional £400 - £1000 to upgrade the gear. Your comment is good info though as it highlights the process I'm currently using could produce a less than great experience for viewers.
If anyone else has read this huge comment haha and is experiencing issues with resolution and quality please let me know.

@@andrewstewart106 Hi Andrew. I won't pay GoPro prices either. Check this out (they also do cheaper versions, which work well): www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07JDHM57Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
