Ordered mine this morning. Coming from a 6T, which was phenomenal and lasted 7 years. Security updates ended, and I was so glad/relieved this 13 checked every box for me that I care about while researching for months. It also came with a $300 watch for free. 16gb/512gb + watch... $899/965 after tax. Just watched this. Nice, deep review. Sub added.
My experience with OnePlus is limited to the 7T which I loved, especially the OxygenOS software which was very Pixel like with more customisation and I’m liking the OnePlus 13 and if the benchmarks are anything to go by, the iPhone has finally been dethroned on Geekbench now with the OnePlus 13 posting a crazy score of over 9000 on multi core while the iPhone just about edges it on single core. Great video, Nick and happy new year.
Definitely takes longer than that. My wife's S24 Ultra takes 1 hour minimum to charge from 0-10% - 100. That's with the official Samsung 45 watt charger with an upgraded cable.
I would like to see that camera module slowly just mold into a circular camera arrangement in the back of the phone. With perhaps a silver color ring wrapping the cameras, a less garish approach as now, would be appreciated. Otherwise, this phone seems incredible. And after S9-S21, OnePlus is looking like a great phone company to look at.
@alexanderrahl482 i am in the same boat as you, been with samsung since s10 and right now with z fold3. Looking at recent options, this phone ticks all boxes and gives a few nice to have features. And costs around 45% less than s24 ultra.
Totally down for the zooming, no amount of macro shot is bad. Love it. No channel does it. Actually they don't appreciate products like that. Thanks for showing macro shots.
Great review! The only issue I have with OnePlus is that they do bi-monthly updates as opposed to monthly. If they ever fix that I would totally purchase this phone
Hey Nick!! Great review!! Quick question. I know that you are in Chicago and noticed that your OnePlus 13 is showing LTE in your review. Does it not get 5g in Chicago?? I live here too and was considering getting the OnePlus 13 but no 5g would be a deal breaker.
Returned mine today. Loved it but the earpiece speaker “slit” is either too small or the IP69 membrane muffles the sound from it. The bottom speaker is as clear as a bell. Mostly noticed when played at volumes past 60% and while listening to voices rather than music, for example watching this video. Sad bc otherwise it’s a fantastic piece of tech from OnePlus
Does the close all actually close all? Because it does not on my OnePlus pad 2. It closes everything except the last screen I was on, which it opens after I hit close all. That's the only thing about it that drives me nuts.
@erik791Some people need 1tb of storage and making it Chinese model exclusive is not cool OnePlus. Should be available world wide. You shouldt have to import to get it.

One plus used to had a distinct identity till one plus 6t. It never felt like a typical chinese product. Although, the 13 is great, but it is still doing what the other Chinese brands are doing. You can say is an incredible value but it just gets devalued very fast as ironic as it seems i think i like the idea of exchanging your phone every year and if you change your one plus for the newer version i think you are gonna get less discount than with an iphone.
The oneplus phones hold up for long. They are offering 4yrs of no degradation in battery life too and around same time for updates. So that would be cool to have.
