I just found your channel from a YT suggestion. After watching your video, I immediately subscribed. As a longtime fan of everything audio, I love your bringing some listening sophistication to reasonable priced audio components. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you!
Great! Thanks for the samples.I have a lot of fun playing around with cheap DACs. Have you tried the FiiO D3? You may get surprised with it, I still have it as an option for the coax signal in the cd player on my system and use it depending on the cd that I’ll spin
No, I haven't heard the D3. It's on Amazon for $50. If it goes on sale, I might pick it up for a review! Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching 👍
Looking forward to the comparision with the SU-1! I'm curious about how both devices behave with no source active. I read a review where the SU-1 led flashed, which I find annoying since I leave my DACs on all the time. My Sanskrit 6th exhibits this behavior which I also find annoying. It's no longer in use...
@JonCurcio Hey Jon, Thanks for watching. I'll let you know my findings when the SU-1 arrives but I can tell you right now that the PS100's LEDs go into a sleep mode and don't flash. 👍
Is it connected VIA USB? My Sanskrit 6th detected USB even if the computer was off, however it flashed with optical Toslink when my TV was turned off. @@RoyFJ65
Thanks for the video. Quick question say I pull optical cable from tv to the DAC into external amp (2 channel stereo), on the TV setting what format should I choose? PCM, Dolby or etc? I want to watch movie with 2 channel cinema effect.
Hi I need your help I ordered the PS100 I connected it from my SONY tv which has a HDMI eRC to the PS 100 and audio out RCA cable connected it to my home theater Bose LS 650 but it didn’t work no audio coming out can you let me know if my connection is correct.?
I have finally figured out to connect the PS100 from my Sony HDMI earc to my bose LS650 but sorry to say the volume has dropped down and the remote sync is bad …
@@NArkHolding Did you try with the optical instead? Also, what is your opinion on the sound quality? That's strange that the volume went down. It was the same in my system.
Honestly, I haven't heard the Chromecast Audio years, so can't do a real comparison. But the PS100 is better than any DAC in a TV or most PC internal DACs. It's good for getting better sound there. but if you're looking for a big jump in sound quality, consider the SU-1 also.

@@RickRuizAudio not sure why it’s that price! I bought 2 for 25 bucks each… that price makes it the most expensive DAC of its size
$25 would be a much better deal!! Lol 👍

No flashing in SU-1 here attached to my PC.

PCM. Anything else might give you a glitchy buzz, if it's a 2 channel DAC.
@@RickRuizAudio thanks for clearing my doubts.

Did you connect a usb-c to PS100 and to a power adapter?
Also, did you go into TV settings and activate CEC and eARC?

- HI, is the PS100 DAC better than the internal dac from Chromecast Audio?

Comparing with a Modi I don't detect differences in image, soundstage and depth, period.
Hey Roberto, thanks for the input. What speakers are you using them with? I haven't heard a modi in a while but good to know this one competes.
