As a person who worked there, I will say it's a awesome place!! Working there is amazing. Especially working for REC! If anyone is trying to find a good job, I suggest this. It's an amazing opportunity to work there, and see all sorts of things!
Oh I forgot to mention, this video is great because you’re the first family I’ve ever seen cook and you’re showing your viewers the camp ground. It’s like I’m there with you. Thanks
Such an awesome video, loved the ending part with the “all together” music as well :) We love KOA’s and will have to check this one out! We also want to check out the first KOA in Billings Mt too.
Palmer's Gulch- We really had such high expectations but we did not enjoy it at all. This was summer 2018- staffing at campground was an issue. Some things were closed or the wait time was awful. The walk to the bathrooms from tour cabin was treacherous (especially when you have to pee in the middle of the night). The "all you can eat pancake breakfast" ran out of pancakes by 8 am. The horses looked miserable. It was so crowded and just not a great experience. We went to Custer KOA summer 2021 and had an amazing time. Smaller campground (and much more reasonable cost). Not as many "frills" but we had an amazing time and our experience was all around so much better.
Hello! Me and my family love going on camping trips with our 40 foot RV, and we have been to over 22 states so far...We have been to the very first koa ever made in the us, and largest, the one in this video, and even the highest in elevation which is the Cripple Creek koa at over 10,000 feet in elevation...It really is a fun thing to do! We've been to lots of other amazing tourist attractions such as Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, and the Grand Ole Opry...
Sadly we were only able to drive through the Black Hills, but hope to get back soon and actually spend a solid chunk of time exploring. Will definitely check out this resort! I'm sold as long as there are water slides!! Mount Rushmore KOA looks so fun!
Wow that is indeed a large place right there. We have stayed at many KOA's, they need larger spaces but other than that they are pretty solid. ~Bradley
Awesome video! I think I need to visit that KOA. Your charging center for electronics / phone / etc., looks a lot like mine - "stuff everywhere" I spotted a KYD shirt too!
Hi..I am planning my first time RV trip with my family during Christmas time. We are in Houston so we are looking to see some snow and ski ⛷️... Any recommendations close to Colorado or any other location? I am thinking o a RV Trailer to be delivered to the camp. Thanks all ..
Rving in winter comes with some special items needed, heat tape for the water and sewer hoses, lots of propane, and some sort of skirting. Also several RV parks that are in cold weather states like Colorado will close for the winter because they winterize all of the water Spicket’s. You might be able to find some thing open closer to ski areas but just remember RVing in the winter months take some extra effort.
this is so neat! I'm glad I found your video before we take a trip this summer!! I can't wait to check out this KOA, even if it's for a day!! Happy Camping (I camp in my Nissan Leaf) ⛺️🔌🚗
The hub KOA in Billings is now adding a $8 recreation resort fee to their already pricey $70 with no sewer spaces. They need to ask the failing Las Vegas hotels how that's working out for them, now. I have stayed in many and hate to see the greed, ruin a good thing.
Well hello there. I love you channel and yes I’ve subscribed. I’ve never been RVing but I’ve ALWAYS wanted to. I’ve been doing a ton of research (still not sure what a KOA is). Seems like the more I know the more questions I have. I wanted a class A then I thought a 5th wheel would be better in case my RV broke down. Recently I saw a few videos on a Super Class C and I’m sold. As a person of color, are there places I should avoid? I’m sad to even have to ask that question. Also, do all campers inevitably host mice? Yuck 😁
Keep researching John. We have a 5th wheel and love it. Friends rented two times to get an idea for their pull behind. We had a long Class C and didn’t like how it got blown around when windy and not having a car separately. Ours was 32’ so a long for the short wheel base. Overall liked the turn the key and go option and may go to Class A in the future. Not sure about person of color factor and haven’t experienced anything obvious, but I recognize your situation is potentially different. Here in the West I doubt you would have any issues and I guess there is always someone to ruin ones camping, but believe the exception not the rule. Of course not the best time to buy given all, but winter months and used might not be a bad idea. Good luck.
We were highly disappointed with this Koa. It was packed, and everything was poorly maintained. Gross pools, peeling paint and splinters on all tables, seats, cabins. Pretty broken down when we stayed In August. Will not be going back 😔 Btw I love your family RV videos, and we have that shirt, My kids go to RCS as well 😊

What is REC?
Omg, gotta put this place on the list! Wow, you would never be bored!
Oh I forgot to mention, this video is great because you’re the first family I’ve ever seen cook and you’re showing your viewers the camp ground. It’s like I’m there with you. Thanks
Thanks so much for the compliment.
We stayed at several KOA across the USA this summer! We love that they all have dog parks!
Thanks for the Superman footage!
Just stayed there in June of 23 for two nights (tent). We loved it. great place
Awesome!
So much fun!
I have been there with extended family in the tent area for a weekend. We had no complaints, just a good time in the surrounding area.
Nice!
Loved seeing South Dakota's black hills for those of us that haven't been up that way. That KOA seems to have it All!
It's a pretty cool KOA!

So sorry to hear! We’ve stayed at Palmer Gulch many times over the past 10 or so years and loved it. Good to know about Custer KOA too.
We stayed there a couple of years ago, it was awesome!! We’ll definitely stay there again.
We tried to get in again this summer and they’re already booked 😲

@@GratefulGlamper Yep! It truly is a blessing to be doing all of it!

It is and you should totally add it to your travel plans sometime!

We like KOA’s most of the time too.
Loved your reporting on this place. Great editing.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. It definitely took a little while to edit ;)
PALMER GULTCH!! Thats behind Mount Rushmore! I WORK THERE!!
Stated there a few years ago! Can’t wait to get back!
We can’t wait either! :) Thanks for watching!
Thank You for the review.
Awesome video! I think I need to visit that KOA.
Your charging center for electronics / phone / etc., looks a lot like mine - "stuff everywhere"
I spotted a KYD shirt too!
Ha! So true - and yep - summer to remember!
Great job!
+Melissa J Thank you! 🙏🏻 We really appreciate it.
Great video :)
Thanks Dean!
Great video! These are amazing shots! Did one of yall go to film school or something haha
Great video. I did notice however that it looks like the campground is kind of in a state of disrepair.
It’s a little run down in some areas currently….
A lot of it was built
I am going there in June with my brothers
In 2021
Wow ! what a nice place . Love that it has so much woods . Do they have primitive camping . Oh I guess they have BEARS lol
They do have some tent spots too!
Nice vid, but @3:40 is why I stop taking my grandkids. Hand through screen and body weight on door. And NO ONE knows how it happened.
😮

@@GratefulGlamper Thank you so much for the advice, I think I will need to change plans for RV in a different season.
W.e stayed at lots of parks in Canada , the best one in Ontario is THunder BAy KOA.. No 1 in my book....Tell them Ben sent you.
Loved the Black Hills but don't have an RV. Looks like a good time, though
It was fun Jack! They have cabins too ;) Thanks for watching!

That's why we got 2 toilets!!
Smart! 😉
So what's the largest one
If we remember correctly, the largest one is Lake okeechobee in FL.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bummer I was wrong lol

wwwwwwwwwoooooooooww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:)
It looks like a RV Parking Lot. Yuck!!
The spaces are pretty wide - it’s a pretty cool place.
