    I do this, but use the PC microphone to show a volume level. Up down the height until the loudest signal is displayed.

    Hi
    Can you tell me how to set the crosshairs in the workspace?

    I just got a fiber laser, so I'm working my way through your video playlist. Maybe it's in a more recent video, but have you considered a ramp test to find optimal focus and depth of field? Worked great on the co2 gantry I have. I think I saw a setup for that on fiber using a 45 degree angle and thin aluminum business card.

      We've discussed it but haven't dedicated a video to it just yet. ART (advanced racing technologies) makes a really nice piece and fence setup for this, works great! 100% same concept as the Co2 gantry when you look at it that way, very true! We have a video coming at some point sharing our experience with that, he has them listed on the marketplace (link in the description)

    Another great video , I have a compact 50w that has powered up and down movement but it says not to use them when the laser is engraving ..it there a way around this?.. thanks

      Could see how it's wired. If it's wired into your ezcad controller it may just be a matter of disabling the port that's tied to it in the F3 Param ports page.

      @@LaserEverything thanks for the reply I’ll have a look to see if it’s an easy thing to do as I’ve only had it a couple of weeks so I don’t want to mess something up👍

    first, your vids are great, but i'm frustrated that all of your videos that mention focus, none of them I can find actually cover the process of adjusting the red dot focal distance. in this video, after you find your optimal focus distance, how do you adjust your red dot so it's correct when you raise & lower the galvo head? please & thank you.

    Thank you for the video. Have i believe my ideal focus. However, a 50 mm box, is 56mm when lased. All measurements are larger out of the laser than in lightburn. Im sure its a simple fix, but my google fu has failed me. Any advice?

      You need to do a lens correction with Corfile 😊 we have an episode on it

    How did you come up with the 189mm focal length when you measured with the clear ruler and it was 356? What did I miss?

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  2 года назад

      clip was from an old video I was measuring for a different laser/lens combo - 189 was my focal length for my laser in present day for this episode.

      @@LaserEverything thank you! How exactly do you measure it? Obviously different for different lenses. Didnt know if there was a standard?

    I have gone through all the video's up to this point and my laser is not doing the loud burning and bright light. It looks like it only burns at the clean up setting even though I have my settings exactly like you. it worked when I first got it (a week ago) and now isn't. I did take out my lenses but than put it back in. Does that have anything to do with it. I am at witt's end and very frustrated!!! I have a 50 watt Stealth Fiber Laser. I desperately need help! I am using lightburn only.

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  Год назад

      Hey Tonja, are you using a different lens than the one you started with? Larger lenses behave weaker than smaller ones so you may just not have the energy output to get that large bright engraving you're looking for for finding your focal distance. If you're still stuck check the links in the description to our Facebook Group or Discord Server and drop your question there so we can take a closer look. Hard to give quality support in the RUclips comments.

    Do you know if they plan to add a 2D barcode tool like EzCad2?

    Does this have to be done again when switching from ezcad?

      No, this one is geared toward first time users. If you know your focal distance you're all set.

    how do you change to 45 degree scan angle in lightburn 1.3.00?

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  Год назад

      Double click on the layer in question in the layers panel. It's about half way down in the window that opens. You can set the scan angle and it will even provide a little preview so you can see which direction your galvos will scan.

      @Laser Everything™ thank you. Found out I was still in beginner mode which prevents you from having the option to change scan angle
