Your lich can create and maintain over 50 zombies, the skill that lets her raise more with a single spell is about raising more zombies per cast dude, not how many you can have overall.
I played on that mod a really long ago but never really used liches, didn't know it was so OP, 50 units? isn't that stronger then any big base you can make almost.. I mean one lich counts like 10-20 normal pawns? considering undead are slow and such, they have weaknesses so even if we say that 5 undead can defeat 1 pawn without trouble, there are many variables though.
@@Petar-95 I believe undead count to the pop total though, had a few living colonists and about 6 undead and we were getting raids of at least 10 enemies per. Good for getting things done around the base but they fold like paper in a fight, puts the colony at risk
The more impressive a room is, the higher the chance a pawn can get an inspiration. So having a lot of sculptures everywhere and keeping your base squeaky clean will net you a lot of inspirations. Mood also factors in of course.
just set the magic skills to auto cast on every person that way they will always be casting their spells and gaining XP, this would be pretty good for the priest since he can heal any colonist as soon as they get hurt
Little Tip: You do know if you select "Recruit" in the prisoner tab it reduces resistance as it needs to be 0 to recruit. You only Reduce Resistance if you don't want to waste a "Reruitment Inspiration" on the wrong person, or you want them to go through withdrawl of their drug habit before joining the colony. They both do the same thing only once at 0 the next talk is recruit attempts. You said they dont build relations but I have no trouble with that in base or with my mods on recruit, how annoying that some mod changes that.
dude if you set it to where your whole tribe goes to the anima tree every night for 2-3 hrs, you can gain a psylink level every 4-5 days. I used a neuroformer, then used anima tree to double level as well. it only took me 40 days to train a lvl 6 psycaster. That tree is completely op you can turn any tribal into a psycaster.
This is another level of exploiting mechanics, awesome! Your videos are very well composed, and looks much more like a story than a gameplay, is hard work and is awesome. Thanks ;)
Painblock is actually one of the best abilities. Cast it on a downed pawn and they can rescue themself, or cast it on your melee pawns so they can hold the chokepoint until the last second. With heavy armor, it buys you a lot of uptime.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the recruit option enables recruitment AND reduces resistance. Reduce resistance will work till res is 0 (that's good for gaining speech skill experience)
One thing I've noticed in the latest patch is that wealth seems to go up a whole lot slower. This means that the mood bonus they get that's based on the wealth of your colony doesn't drop as fast so the overall mood of your colony is higher if you are playing the game the same way as previous patches.
This is just a marketing strategy so that one day when he actually finishes a series, some rich viewer will troll donate a huge amount for the meme and be like "eyo, you did it boo-boo."
Painblock psycast is actually very useful in battle. If your fighters are downed, and you can't fight off the enemies without them, cast painblock and they can stand up again and fight until their blood loss gets too high or their legs get shot off.
You do not have to switch from reduce resistance to recruit. If you select recruit, then the resistance will be dropped and the prisoner will be instantly recruited.
Dude, painblock is so dope you don't even know. Usually colonists/animals will go down with like 40-15% health left. It's portable, free/reusable gojuice with no addiction. If you play with a lot of disposable pawns, painblock becomes super awesome.... speaking of which, you don't need eyes to be a meat shield.
Undead armies are pretty sick. A fairly ambitious idea is to set up a second colony for the lich and their undead servant, though of course that would make it hard for them to keep up their relationship.
Now I don't want this series to be unfinished but that lich scroll made me think that it would be a great idea to make a 1 man colony with a lich and having all other colonists be undead raised by the lich (maybe get some other liches later for more undead )
Psychic Tip : You can use Neural heat dump to incapacitate a colonist being chased by manhunting animals. Animals will no longer attack him while he is down, this ability can actually save lives!
You actually don't need to manually switch from "reduce resistance" to "recruit". You can set it to recruit and your pawns will reduce your prisoners resistance until they can start to attempt recruiting them. It also doesnt stop them from building relations.
dude start saving magicyte for gear that you craft with it. That's where the big scaling +% stuff is, you get access to gear giving massive mana pools/regen/skill str bonuses. The cloaks are really good.
Mmmm that's weird, I always select recruit from the get go and they DO in fact reduce resistance until the prisoner breaks and then they will attempt to recruit. The game even tells you as much with a notification that has sound and everything.
So I believe there is a hidden mechanic that makes it so that if one person gets an inspiration others who are happy are more likely to get an inspiration. Happening 6 times in one session is pretty insane rng though
You can have unlimited undead if you have enough mana to maintain it it does not scale with ability level. I would recomment hasten undead and Fog of torment Hasten undead increase Undead speed and power while Fog of torment can heal your undead and also damage anyone who is in it which is another great way to capture prisoner. Ps: Here are some tips to get the most benefit with the Rimworld magic mod. Get a paladin with good armor and melee you can destroy even a mechanoid cluster with just the paladin alone. Pair the paladin with a Geomancer Or a chaos mage with Stone skin to stack up damage resist. If you like having worker to haul but hate having a undead mood debuff get yourself a summoner those minion is awsome since you can have 4 of them out at a same time with level 3. Fire mage and Ice mage can give all colonists mood buff with their Ray of Hope and Soothing breeze. Finally you can level up your colonist faster by letting them auto use skill by right click the ability that have a X on the top right of the skill.
i do see you saying painblock is useless, however against wimps or a downed colonist you cant save, using painblock on them to move them out of the way can often at times be vital for keeping that colonist from dying or being kidnapped,
My tortured artist doesn't need any help to have a mental break, she can do it all on her own. Lol she just made her first legendary. I put them in tiny dirty bedrooms with dirt floors
Ain't recruit prisoner option also include reduce resistance? Like if you choose recruit option but prisoner still has resistance it'll just reduce the resistance first then recruit it. Its always like that
Painblock is good for keeping colonists at 100% during important moments, so they won't go down for longer Heatdump has two uses, it helps spamming psycasts but it also knocks down allies harmlessly, which stops most enemies from attacking. Let's say a manhunter pack will beat the shit out of somebody who won't make it to the base, just drop heatdump and the pack won't hurt them
