Thanks for the vid bro! I'm adjusting my chain for the first time this morning. The manual calls for a vertical movement of .79 inches - 1.18inches. I'm setting mine to 1inch. The manual calls for a torque setting for the rear wheel spindle nut to be 81 lb/ft.
Just a note, when you’re lifting your chain to measure the tension if the top starts moving you’ve pushed it to far. Watching your vid the chain probably wasn’t as loose as you may think.
@@jeffbrownme2 I don't have toe torque specs but if you google it, they are in the online manual. The chain was between 20-30mm so I was shooting for 25. But 42 was definitely too much.
Torque doesn't matter because you don't have a torque wrench ?? seriously....we gotta a real mental giant here, an intellectual titan amongst us. Good lord.
Almost 42 mm? Oh, the humanity! My 2020 765 R had over 70 mm slack when I got it home brand effing new with 8 miles on it from the shop in Greenville, SC. Be warned, they are idiots.
FFS, man! Balance the audio levels! My ears bled from that intro and blasting through the gears and then everything goes to a whisper. It's like a Harley, any idiot can make it loud. It takes skill to make it right.

Thanks for watching.
I just had some Michelin Road 6s installed on my RS as well and thanks for the tips on adjusting the chain
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

Cool video. What are the actual chain slack specs you're looking to hit?
Also do you have the torque spec and nut size for the axle nut?

So your clockwise to tighten the chain so as your facing the adjuster bolt your turning down on one side and up on the otherside?
Yes
I'm off to do mine. Thanks!
Thanks for watching.
step 12: "give it a good kick and warn your wife about it afterwards"
noted like that 👍
You don’t need to lift the rear off the ground to adjust??
I know. Just resort to video. Thanks for watching. Actually better to do it on the ground. You are right
I’m a lazy fuck and my chain flaps around in the wind with probably about 3inches or so of up and down play 😂 I probably should tension it I guess
I've heard of people dying because of this. Please do it, so you can keep watching. Haha no seriously...
Your just an idiot bragging about being both stupid and carefree, go play with lego.
Let that dealer know what was done .

I have worked on a lot of motor holes and cars. I know what I'm doing. Also, I came back with a torque wrench. But it's not rocket science.

Mine was actually closer to 46 but 70 straight from the dealer new is nuts! This is why I do my own services.
Thanks for watching.

Sorry! I honestly hadn't realized that. I'll see if I can modify the posted video. Thanks for the heads up.
