Heads up on how to fix the power antenna on a 95 camry

The antenna does not go up and down completely when i turn the radio on. The motor seems to still work, im going to take it all apart and try to figure out how to fix it with common sense--no books, no tutorial (ok, so I did see another video that helped me find the motor assembly which is behind the trunk cover on the passenger side held in by two 10mm nuts). Everything is a lot easier to fix when you look beneath the cover and understand the science behind it--wish me luck!!!
