    I’m 18 from Arizona I’m about to graduate high school, studying abroad is something I’ve always wanted, but am still intimidated in college itself… I’m a little lost with what I want to study still as well I don’t think I would do well in China 😅

    • @itsDiandre
      @itsDiandre  9 месяцев назад

      Welcome to the channel! You are still young and haven’t entered university yet so you have plenty of time to figure out where you want to go. If your plan is to study in the US but do an exchange program abroad then you still have a couple of years to do some research and talk to the coordinators at your university. If you want to do the entire degree abroad then I suggest maybe taking a gap year to figure out exactly where you want to go and do extensive research to see how your chosen place fits your needs and wants. I’ll admit China is a huge step out of the comfort zone especially if you are from the US or western cultures. However, it’s not to say that you can’t do it! You just have to prepare yourself for the ups and downs which will most definitely happen. If China is too much of a big step, try researching a western culture country(e.g. in Europe, North or South America) which can be much easier to assimilate into. Anyways, enough of my rambling. I hope this helps and good luck on your search! Definitely reach out to myself and others in case you need more help👍🏾

Have you ever heard about a chinese university accepting a student past the application deadline? I'm going to be a self funded language (non degree) student. It's a little for the sept sem, but i was wondering while that sept sem is still a month away. Do the uni's fill in seats for the course post dedlines? Just in case you ever heard about that from someone or your thoughts. Thanks again

    Hi! Thank you for all the usefull infos!
    I have 2 questions;
    First one: is there a specific time to apply?
    Second: I finished high school 3 years ago and started working, now i want to go to university in my country but as i want to study to become a translator for chinese, i think studying this in china would be definitely better. My question is do I have to be already in university to be able to apply for the scholarship? Thank you!

    • @itsDiandre
      @itsDiandre  8 месяцев назад +1

      For your first question, I believe that there are specific deadlines but I am unsure of them for the current term. These deadlines could also different depending on the scholarship type you are applying for. It is best to refer to the official websites of your target university or the embassy that you are applying through if you choose that option.
      As for your second question, you can receive a scholarship for a language program specifically. You do not have to be enrolled in a university to apply. In that case, you will be taking intensive or standard chinese courses (some programs may also allow you to take a few other course such as business) that will prepare you to take the HSK exam at the end of your term.

      Hello! I do know some Chinese. I'm in the HSK 4 level of study. However, I don't always practice speaking so I always say I'm not that good😅. I have not taken any true Chinese courses with the exception of an online beginners course for a semester during the virus era. I think everyone learns at a different pace. I truthfully believe that practicing speaking is the best way to learn as I have seen some friends do it since I have been here. If you take an intensive language program here in person, it is very common to progress to conversational fluency in the span of 1 year. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

    Hi, thanks for doing this video. I'm a recently high school graduate with 17 yo interested in applying for applied physics at undergraduate degree, however I'm not fluent in English and have no IELTS/TOEFL certificate. Is important to have an English certified? And you can apply only with the Paperwork or do you need to do an interview, becouse as i said I'm not fluent and my speking is in like B1 level. I'm totally sure that i want to study Chinese, so an English program isn't necessarily. For what i know you can opt for a year of chinese

    • @itsDiandre
      @itsDiandre  8 месяцев назад

      Hello, you do not need English if your program is in Chinese however you will need to pass the required HSK exam(exam) for the program you apply for. As for the interview yes you will need to have an interview even after submitting the documents but you will probably be interviewed in Chinese. If you do decide to take an English program, then you will need to pass the IELTS or equivalent English exam.

      Hey! Majority of the scholarships I applied to were offered from my uni. Thats the first place I suggest you search. Try to schedule a meeting with one of the study abroad coordinators at your uni and ask them about the scholarship opportunities. Then there are many outside resources offering scholarships for exchange studies which you can find through a quick google search. Best piece of advice is to spend time writing a quality essay for the ones that require it. Thats how I was awarded my scholarships. Take the HSK test regardless. You don’t lose anything if you don’t pass and you may end up surprising yourself on how much you know. Good luck and I hope you get a chance to study abroad!

    Is it possible to study my bachelor's degree in English applying to CSC scholerships?

    • @itsDiandre
      @itsDiandre  2 месяца назад

      Yes! You just have to find a program that offers English courses. You will most likely still be required to achieve some HSK level before you graduate. Generally around HSK 3-4 you will have to pass to graduate but your school will offer you Chinese language courses along with your regular major specific courses.

      Yes it is depending on which school you apply to. There are some schools that don’t require it. As for the language certificate, that is great as long as your target university accepts it. They may want an official certificate from a reputable organization (e.g IELTS, HSK).

      Thank you for the support🙏🏾 I received 2 emails about acceptance. The first email was acceptance of enrollment and then the second email was confirmation that I was awarded the scholarship. I did not have to wait for a “final evaluation”. I am unsure what you mean about that so I suggest you reach out to the contacts at the university for further assistance on that part. I assume since you were nominated as a candidate that you will be awarded the scholarship but I am not 100% sure. Anyways congratulations and I hope you get officially awarded! Almost there🎉

As for CS programs, you can start by searching the web for Chinese universities that offer CS. You can also search for the top schools in the nation and explore each one for their individual programs.
