Rattata was the only shiny I ever found. I've played all the games up through Sword and Shield. It was outside Pallet Town.

I just got on to gold so that I could hatch a shiny charmander, accidentally just drove into the grass right next to the nursery, and a shiny Rattata jumped out at me! Needless to say, I am shocked!
