- It took a lot for me to upload this video. I just wanted to give a little glimpse into my life and how me and my children are living as of right now. I won't say its easy living in a one bedroom apartment but this is our life right now so we are making the best of it. My apartment is not full of furniture and things because I ended up giving a lot of stuff away and also we keep things to a minimum so that we won't feel like we are stuffed in this apartment. If you are in the same boat as us I hope you find this helpful.
Just remember this season that you are in will not last forever. Know that God see you and he will grant you the things your heart desire. Never give up hope and never let anyone make you feel bad about your living situation or anything at all. People will judge you no matter what you do! Just continue to do the best for you and your family and move with love and the purest heart ALWAYS!!

After my kids father passed away a few yrs ago, my life has been turned upside down. I lost the home he worked so hard to give us, had to go live with mom in her tiny place. That's when she got a stroke & couldn't go back to work. I am now in a 2 bedroom with her & my 5 kids. I've had a few emotional break downs but I'm still here. Hope that things get better for us both & every other single mom working hard to get by ❤

I have two kids. They are grown men now but when they were little I split from my ex and we moved into a one bedroom apartment in a not so nice area of town. We lived there for several years. Things got better and better. I finally purchased my own home and things got better again. My advice is to save as much money as you can, live on the cheap, start asking God to help you realize your goals but you must also do your part. It will happen for you, you will be successful. Your children with your help will be successful. I will be praying for you. Keep your head up. God bless.

I’m doing the same thing I had a 2 bedroom but they tried to raise my rent by $300 so it forced me in a one bedroom apartment with my 4 year old son I understand how hard times can be, but mothers always make things work for their children. Salute to all the single parents out there.

That's okay. When I started highschool my mom and I had to move into a one bedroom where we shared a room. As long as she was good, I was good. She made it a home and filled it with love and memories. My friends thought that it was cool because I kind of made my room part of the living room (not totally) but it wasn't bad.
The comments here is exactly what I'm expecting from humanity. Yes this was a double watch and double comment. Just feel so good to see us cheering each other on.

YES! I was going to suggest the same! That’s actually A LARGE one bedroom. She is really doing a good job. I love when people think smart! I definitely created a bedroom for her in the dinning room area in my mind😊.

Don’t ever feel shame for doing everything you can do for you and those babies. You are working hard to keep a roof over their heads, put good food in their mouths, clothe them properly, and you are showing them lots of love! There is no shame in that Mama! Give yourself a big pat on the back once in awhile. We forget, as single parents, that we deserve the accolades when we are kicking butt in the parental department! Especially when life is so difficult and stressful these days. You’re moving up- you said earlier in the vid that you moved to a better side of town but it’s still a one bedroom. Next step will be a bigger place. It just takes the time and patience that you clearly have. You are clearly a good mommy that puts her babies and their needs first. Don’t ever worry about what others may think or how they may judge you about how little you have or why you live a certain way. Your home is neat and tidy and that’s all that matters! We all get to choose how we want to live and if we don’t like how others live, then that’s when we just scroll past the channel, right! Keep up the great work! 🙏❤️ First time watching your channel. I love this. It’s clean and minimalist. If you decide to, you could put yourself a sleeper futon where that pink toy is in the living room. Also, don’t feel like you need to apologize for not having “stuff”. This space is actually perfect.

My sentiments exactly. You’re working with what you got. You got a roof over you and your daughter’s heads. It’s nice, clean and spacious. Take your time, I won’t rush it until the girls are older, continue to stack your money. Everything worked out on your favor. God, did before He will do it again! I agree with the futon. We have one that is probably 25 years old but the futon mattress is so comfortable!

Agree. She has a spacious living/dining area. It could be converted to a studio apartment style by adding a little divider to separate her bedroom area from the living area.

You are a great mommy! Baby I did the same thing you are doing now. When i had all 3 kids living with me 2 years ago, I slept on my couch. But eventually my middle son got his own apartment and then I moved into Anthonys old room. So, I understand how you feel, I had 3 bedrooms and I wanted each of my kids to have their own rooms. I didn't care where I slept as long as my kids were happy. I never wanted my kids to go without anything. Or look back at their childhood and feel I did them bad. They only reason I have a 3 bedroom cause my older kids have jobs and help pay rent. Love- Jessica

I’m the same way, I have a three bedroom also and, I also sleep on my couch. ( I bought a pop up couch)
I’m downsizing as well and will be getting a nice 1 bedroom apartment soon. My son will have the bedroom and I’ll get me a sofa bed. Not worried about the opinions of others because I’m the only one paying my bills. I’m working on credit and my debt and I’m not spending a fortune on rent when i have other bills and a life to live. Nobody should have to work pay check to pay check just for bills
So true! Don’t care what people say because they don’t pay bills or nothing so do what works for you and your son. As long as y’all happy that’s all that matters ❤️. I agree! No one should have to work so hard and still live paycheck to paycheck.

@@Talkwithtina808 through the grace of God, I just moved about 2 weeks ago and was fortunate enough to get a 2bedroom. I recently found out I’m expecting. I threw all my son and I old furniture away and have to buy all new things. I’m taking it one day at a time although I’m currently sleeping on the floor as I still have all my bed linen and big blankets I’m just so grateful that we have our own place and space. I pray everything works out for the best for you and your kid and that we continue to move forward on our journey no matter what things may currently look like. Stay blessed!!!

Girl, preach. Last year I was listening to “Latino USA” on NPR and there was a woman who was renting CLOSETS for she and her kids to sleep in. She and her 6 year old son slept in one and she gave her teen daughter the other. I think of them often. We are so blessed!

Great job mom! My baby and i lived in a studio apartment for 3.5 years. He slept in the "big bed" with me. He had his own little dining and tv area. I had my little sitting area. We had our plants and he had tons of books and toys. I actually miss that space. But we definitely out grew it.

I have OCD and am a minimalist, and I LOVE how clean and crisp everything is! It looks very peaceful and your little ones must feel so wealthy and abundant! Times are hard, but I am sure your girls have no idea! Beautiful!

Thank you for sharing. To these people who are judging, they obviously have never had to do what they must to take care of themselves. As long as you and yours are happy and well taken care of. Who cares. You are amazing and you keep doing your thing. A friend had to live in a tent with her kids for months. And she tri to give her kids to social services and they said no because they got a roof over her head and were well taken care of. You do you all day every day. Also, you have a one-bedroom with your kids and it has a full-size washer and dryer. You are living large. Great size bathroom and everything. people need to keep their comments to themselves. You know they would not say anything if they talked to you in person. Also, that closet is HUMONGOUS. You are slaying.

I admire you so much! As a single mother it is HARD. I’ve been living with family for the last year and FINALLY found an apartment that I can afford for myself and my two daughters. It’s surprisingly a two bedroom but there’s been many times that I considered just doing a one bedroom. All 3 of us have already been living out of one bedroom at my family’s house so I knew it was possible but you’re doing so good by your girls. Keep it up mama!

I’m a 77yo grandma and when I was young, was a single mom of a son and daughter. One time I couldn’t even turn the electric on in our apartment! 🙁! But I always figured it out. I had an ice chest that I would buy ice for, so we could have milk for cereal and balogna for sandwiches. At night, I would light a candle so we could take baths and I could take my contacts out. The things we do to survive. Anyway, I appreciate what you’re doing and have just subscribed to your channel. Will be keeping you and your babies in my prayers!!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️

I love this. Trust me, as long as you are good, your kids will be good. My mom and I went from a two bedroom apartment to a 1br apartment when I stared highschool. We shared a bed. As long as she was good, I was good. She filled it with lots of love and amazing memories.

I live in a one bedroom apartment with my two kids. The bedroom is very spacious enough to fit my bed queen and my kids twin beds. You are blessed and I enjoyed watching the tour! Happy apartment searching this year. 🎉❤️

Hello, it's good to see you are a loving mom. Your children do come first. You have a nice layout to your unit. Washer & dryer that's a bonus! You are right you don't need a lot of furniture. I would get a accent chair and floor lamp. I don't like end tables take up too much space. Keep it clean and cozy. For your sleeping arrangment they have ottomans that letout to bed. How nice is that. A seat in the day. A bed at night. Much love to you and your beautiful family. Keep doing you. 🙏❤️

My mother was a single mother of 2 and I grew up in a one bedroom apt in the HOOD of NYC that makes this one bedroom look like the Ritz. I say all of that to say that those days were simpler times and I look back fondly on them. Children can be blissfully ignorant to the struggle behind closed doors and only remember the times that you made special for them & the safety and love you made them feel. The memories of old pre-war apt I grew up in gives me such nostalgia and warmth now when I think back to how my mother would make a camping game with sleeping bags (I had no idea we had them because the heat went out in the building) or her making 'snow cones' by putting cups on the window sill to collect snow those cold winter days (because we didn't have the extra money to buy any frozen treats). It's only because I am adult now that I look back and realize just how 'poor' we really were and how much of the fond memories I have now, have a sad reason behind it.
I just wanted to let you know that you are doing an amazing job. Your girls are loved and cared for and have a roof over thier heads and they seem happy! Just seeing thier little barbie house reminded me of the one my mother made for me out of cardboard! Don't worry about what you cannot provide for them now, in due time everything will come, but for the right now, you are making some fond memories for your girls.❤

Hey friend awesome job. One suggestion you have a nice amount of living area space how about a pull out chair/sofa to add and you can sleep on that.Just a suggestion for you to have your own designated space. Keep up the great job from one single mom to another😊
Your place is nice and your children are adorable. I grew up in another time (60's & 70"s) but it was very normal for families, because most had big families, where several of the kids shared one bedroom. It's ridiculous with what is being required of people for rent. Very nice and thank you for sharing! I also, didn't have much like nice vases and stuff displayed, because I also didn't want to worry or get upset about my kids breaking things it's just stuff. I am close to retirement, and I still do not want a bunch of "stuff". Very happy for you. God Bless!

Absolutely love your apartment, you have it lovely. I live in a one bed too with my two daughters. I got rid of the king size bed in it and made it the kids room, I agree once the kids have their own space, their own beds and their own room to bring a friend to play in that's all that matters 🙂

This is nice! I am in a 1 bdrm plus den. I was looking to move but I can't. My daughter is 4 and sleeps with me. We have plenty of room. So happy to see so many mamas making the best of their situation.❤

I can tell you are a fantastic mama, I had to do this when I left my abusive husband I was only 17 when we got married (Dumb) lol but I left him after I had my 3 child. I was 21 and had three children ages 3 and under. And he did not help at all, I had to move into a one bedroom duplex for a while. It literally had a kitchen, bathroom bedroom and den. I had a triple bunk bed in the bed room so they had all their toys and clothes and I slept on a fold out Sofa in the den. lol it was an old one too. I did not have washer or dryer so I had to take three kids to the laundry mat or wash our clothes in the tub and ring them out by hand and hang them to dry all over the house mostly the bathroom and the kitchen. My kids ALWAYS had what they needed and I am like you I will go without for my kiddo's. BRAVO for you mama, and things DO get better! Trust God he will carry you through and you should be PROUD of yourself and you are blessed I see so many ppl living in motels now with children. I ended up getting re married later to one of my best guy friends from high school. He was God sent, I don't trust men around my kids but I knew him as in best guy friend. He stepped up and the kids started calling him Dad they knew them since they were born. I had my tubes reversed to have a baby with him because he had no bio kids and he deserved that experience and GOD BLESS it worked and so our fourth child actually graduated a year early and she got scholarships to the first choice University she picked and she also made the cheer team so she will be leaving us in August for school. I don't know what to do with myself I do have grandchildren now but its just not the same. My children range in age from 35 down to she just turned 18 she graduated last year but went to a local collage for some of her pre courses and we lost our youngest son last year and she had a tough time with that so we all decided she would stay home one last year but now time is up! So you be so proud of yourself and that is a NICE apartment I would have loved my 1 bedroom to look like that! Real woman and moms always do what we got to do for our kids. Mom absolutely too cute. I raised 3 dtrs alone and we made do with what we had. Me too made sure they had their own rm and I could get the couch. They're grown now but you made me reminisce and you reminded me of me. You're apartment it too cute.
